From the team’s composition to the substantive program procedures, equipment, workplace program customization, and hazard control options, the document considers all technical aspects of the Groton Plant industrial hygiene protocol. Implementation and monitoring details against time projections are included together with the recommendations, to sum up, the details of the program.Pfizer Incorporated is among the most famous global brands in the pharmaceutical and chemical production industry, with a firm global presence.

Under the circumstances of a global giant in the industry, its production operations, conducted in a limited number of plants raise environmental concerns for the company both at home and in the global arena. Alternatively, global standards of environmental sustainability increasingly emerge out of the demand for corporate social responsibility. The company, like any other, needs to align itself with the green revolution trends. From such a background, Pfizer’s production practices, across its plants, continue to experience pressure from an environmentally inspired skeptical audience.

In this respect, the company had to come up with a program to deal with compliance challenges. A nasty interaction with an environmental law in Connecticut, in 2008, involving the Groton plant led to a hefty fine amounting to $975,000 in a civil case that sent an ugly image on the corporation. Furthermore, the events meant that the future of the company looks bleak unless a modernized hygiene protocol is put in place (Bellack par 4). Public confidence needs restoration on the commitment of the corporation towards better and safe production practices.

The Groton, Connecticut chemical production plant is a big concern in respect of Pfizer’s compliance with environmental laws and an assumption is made that its full operation was initiated in 1970.
