Mobile Technology and Smartphone Applications as Global Trend The quantity of mobile technology is increasing every day. Wide use of smartphones marked modern society, which simply make communication process easier, help to have fun even during the journey, etc. From mobile phones the trend has shifted to smart-phones. However smartphones itself are nothing. Applications emphasize the benefits from using smartphones. Because they add some functions to the basic functions of every smartphones. Here we include: instant photo-processing, communication through the social networks, various multimedia playback utilities. Smartphones become little computers with the software that enable hardware to work. Therefore, smartphones can be used even for work. For instance, technical specialists can use various applications like special calculators, GPS, maps, etc. For many young people smartphones are the source of first-grade entertainment, like games, aggregators from the famous social networks like Twitter, Facebook, etc., mainly, young people very often engaged in social activity with their friends and smartphones help them to share interesting content, which they create or found somewhere in internet. Smart-phones have had a great impact on our lives and have changed our way of living. Global trend is something that is trendy and is followed by many. In the case of smart-phones, the trend goes viral. Trend for using newest smartphones is spreading fast due to the fact that developers invent new types of the processors, devices to increase the productivity and performance of the smartphones. Newest devices become trend because everyone want to have the little computer on their hands. However, the history of the new generation began from the appearance of PPCs i.e. (Pocket Personal Computers). One day, developers decided to embed the telephone module to the PPC. And they got the new generation of the mobile phones, combined with the possibilities of the PPCs created the trend of the smartphones, which are more powerful than usual mobile phones. Therefore the trend for better phones, and now for better smartphones dates back from the appearance of the first mobile phones itself. Because from this very moment developers began to increase performance of their devices and people always waited for the new ones. First discussions on the creation of the mobile phones date back to the 1915 year. AT&T decided to create the wireless phone. First mobile phone has been created in 1946. However, it worked from the big boot of the vehicle. And covered a small area. First cellular systems appeared in January 1985. There were two main providers of services British Telecom and “Vodafone” (Voice + data + phone). Cellular systems creation has been proposed in 1947. Name of cellular system means development of huge network of small overlapping each other cell sites. Trend for cellular phones increased when people from distant regions realized that they can have the communication with the rest of the world. Telecommuting through the phones created the trend for their usage. Number of subscribers increased dramatically in Africa because people from this country have bad possibilities to communicate with the world. (DeGusta). The smart-phone technology has increased to a greater extent as there is no limitation of resources and technique. The smart-phones are now providing every facility that is more than sufficient for office use. The usage of the smart-phones began excessively when people realized the advantages they can obtain from these phones. It was soon realized by, mainly, young people which like smartphones for their various functions, however older people prefer simple models, without the additional functions. After being a success at the targeted market, the smart-phones were also adopted by many people as they were of capable of multiple uses. The smart-phones were built for everyone as it provided many features which included camera, music player and many more applications. All the applications of the smart-phones attract users of all the age group and by now the smart-phones have captured a big market which includes almost the whole world. The smart-phones have a big impact on our lives as it has transformed the society. The success of smart-phones evolved from adapting changes with the society to making changes in the society. Smart-phones and application for them are developing rapidly as their creators look forward to facilitate the needs of smartphones’ users. The companies involved in manufacturing smart-phones have an intense competition among them to provide the best smart-phone to their users. The pace of providing the new technology to its customers is very high as new smart-phones keep on coming in the market. New applications with support of new smartphones with bigger displays and other techniques contribute to the society with their new types of entertainment and practical use. The number of phones is more than the number of people in the world. The smart-phones have not affected the people as much as it has influenced the people. The people have benefited a lot from the use of these smart gadgets in their professional work as well as their personal life. Smart-phones are now being manufactured in many countries and the usage in the developing countries have made the manufacturers realized that smart-phones must be manufactured at a lower rate so that it can be utilized by many. Some manufacturers have lowered the price which has also increased usage of smart-phones as everyone can afford it now. To make the spreading of smartphones quicker, manufacturers produced much cheaper models of smartphones to win the markets in the countries where there are no people which can afford buying of the newest, very expensive models. (DeGusta). Trend of smart-phones application has evolved largely and the responses towards this trend is mostly positive. Almost all the countries have smart-phone consumers and none of them have opposed to its usage. However, there are people who stand against the smartphones, because they decrease the number of people who prefer real communication, however with usage of the cameras, application, which allow people to see each other, communication via smartphones become more natural. The use of smart-phones is not only allowed but is promoted in all the institutions as all the organizations and its employees need it for official use. The working hours have almost vanished and the works goes on 24 hours, for which a smart-phone is very necessary to carry on the work. It is more useful as everyone stays connected as it is a mean of communication and also handy for official work. Many public figures also use smart-phones as it has now become a necessity to have one. Every user supports the smart-phone trend as it adds more value to the device and provides convenience to its users. Many public figures are present at the launch of new smart-phones which shows their support towards it. The smart-phone trend is usually not opposed but its usage is restricted in some places which usually include schools. There are many public figures that are against the usage of smart-phones amongst the children as it is a distracting machine for them. Steve Jobs, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc. was against the use of smart-phones by children. He didn’t let his children use it because he claimed to the see the damages of this technology firsthand. Recent research made at University of California, Los Angeles published a study which concluded that by abstaining use of smart-phones and other electronic gadgets improves social skills of children. It is considered as an addiction in children as they on an average spend more than seven hours a day on the use of smart-phones.
