The first area will mainly involve the university administrative issues (Kilov, 2002, p. 78). A database will be created so that every living person’s, who is inside the campus, information is recorded. The second area will mainly focus on student administrative issues and the third issue will focus on educational matters. Functional Modeling Functions: The main functions of this school based model will ensure that services are efficiently delivered and that access to key facilities such as assignments is made easier.

Students: from the model, students will be able to 1. View the timetable which will greatly assist them in knowing the venue of classes. 2. Submit coursework on time and find out if there are any adjustments to their works 3. View lectures that are duly updated 4. Add/Remove modules that are on offer 5. View Finance information 6. Submit payment 7. Enrol (finance/academic) Lecturers: on the other hand, lecturers will be able to 1. Add Lecture notes that they deem fit for the students 2. View Submitted Coursework 3.

View Student Record (limited to students in module) Finance office, which plays a key role in administrative issues will be able to 1. Check Student Record (finance) 2. Update Student Account when necessary Academic Management 1. View Student Record (Academic) and encrypt it so as to ensure that they are not tampered with 2. Add/Remove Modules from Student in case the department finds it necessary to do so. 3. Add/Remove Modules from Course The above structural model of teaching, learning and handling of administrative issues will mainly be through an online portal.

There are portals that will be created so that each a segment is distinguished and no confusion arises at any point in time. The information management system will handle many things such as reading of online notes, online viewing of timetables, Structural modeling Classes, with Attributes: this will be a more detailed model because students will able to keep track of their daily records. The model will be structures as shown below 1. Student Record a. Name: students will be able to view their full name as shown in the administration so that no mistake happens b.

Student Number: each and every student will have to specific numbers for identification purposes c. Modules: each and every student will undertake certain courses that are unique to their qualifications d. Course: each and every course will have its specific code so that students will easily remember them 2. Module: under modules, students will be able have their names posted on the internet, what they are pursuing and their lecture’s name a. Name: this will have to be clearly spelt so that it makes it easier for identification b.

Lectures: the lectures will usually be held during specific dates c. Coursework: each and every student will undertake a certain course according to their qualification 3. Course: the different courses that will be on offer will also be posted a. Compulsory Modules: modules that the whole university students will undertake b. Recommended Modules: modules that will specific for certain students c. Students on Course: this will be necessary for students who would wish to undertake specific courses.

The campus administration that deals with both administrative and financial matters will mainly focus on student records. Under student records, the system will mainly have the name, student number modules and course. The information system will also encompass fee
