The Impact of Crisis Intervention on Psychiatric Hospitalizations - Coursework Example

This paper will apply ANOVA analysis in the development of statistical assumptions defining the situation of the impact of crisis intervention on psychiatric hospitalizations.  The paper will compare cases of psychiatric hospitalization before, during, and after the implementation of crisis intervention.    In essence, the paper will seek to establish whether the means of the groups are equal and determine if there are any significant differences. The null hypothesis will be evaluated using one-way ANOVA and assumes that the mean of two or more populations is equal (Stuttgart, 2007). It will question whether (H0) the population means for all groups bear equality and whether the differences observed are a result of variations from random sampling (Brian, 2009).    The data set to be used in this study is based on two groups. One group is subjected to crisis intervention, and the other group will not be subjected to crisis intervention.
