An increase in the number of charter schools over the recent years shows importance of these schools in the education system. More parents favour charter schools than they do favour public schools and several factors explain this. Many Americans, for example, opt for charter schools because the schools give their children better education compared to public schools (Bushaw & Lopez, 2013) and the following section concentrates on factors that motivate parents to take their children to charter schools.
Positives of why parents put their students in charter schools
Better Connection
Teachers in some charter schools visit the families of the students they should teach before meeting them in a classroom setting. KIPP Philadelphia charter school gives a good example (Rix, 2012).
