Critical Thinking of Love Love is one word that carries with it a lot of meaning every time uttered. There are differenttypes of love and have existed through time and the manner through which one expresses love is the only way to determine the type of love that they bear. Many authors have set out to write books focusing on the issue and have come up with various theories and ventures that may assist the contemporary human being gain insight on love and the related aspects. Gaining an understanding of this is important for not only the development of the world but also for personal growth. One of the writers known in the field is renowned author, Bell Hooks. The author has made numerous recognizable strides in the field of writing and has had success in other fields such as that of being a feminist, which has been a source of inspiration for her writing. One of the most reputable books that the author has come up with is All about Love, which has received a lot of recognition by numerous media papers and stations from the depth of insight that it offers on issues regarding love (Hooks 149). In view of books by the author Bell Hooks, she mainly advocates against the issue of oppression, which is majorly influenced by the interconnectivity between the issue of race, gender and capitalism as well. In a larger scope, all these lay under the bracket of love in that, the major issue coming up as a result of the issues mentioned above. Masaru Emoto, another independent author, who is mainly renowned, as a result of what would be considered to be a theory that she strongly believes in, concerning the issue about crystallization of pure and impure water. Giving more regard to the issue in question about love, it is elaborated in Emotos’ book that one, in a move to back ones love, it is essential that each and every individual lives life to the fullest. The author expounds on these, stating that the human person himself is the, or could be considered to be water. As water is known to evaporate into the air, it is similarly thought that we being the water, will at some point lose all memory and experiences as well, that will be launched into space (Hooks 213). Love is thus regarded to be each individual’s objective and every day motivator. One is ought to live happily, as well as see to the happy and comfortable living of day-to-day lives. It is rather essential that people’s concerns also involve regard for others’ too. Love is thus necessary to create and maintain not only happy, but long lasting good relationships between one person and another. With regard to statements as well as findings by both Masaru Emoto and her fellow author Bell Hooks, love can’t exactly have the one actual definition (Emoto 76). This is because love entails a lot more than emotions. It is more than simple sentimental and weak responses that have continued to be used in the impression of love. It is a commitment to both spiritual and social life. Both authors major in the fact viewing love as a special, not to mention a unique force which majority of the religions have continued to consider as more or less the unifying principle of life. It is well evident from religious teachings that the main reason as to why man exists is due to what is termed to as the love and mercy of the supreme God. Biblical reference too supports this, by explaining further that man was created with the main intention to love and be loved. What kind of love is this? One may ask. Is it the love that the layman describes as emotions and feelings? Or is it the love that revolves around and facilitates ones destiny? The latter is however more appropriate in description of what religion terms to as love (Emoto 89). Hoping back to the illustration by the author Emoto how is it that the relationship between people and love could be referred to in a visual case of considering humans as water and their thoughts and memories as the mere evaporation of water that evaporates to the atmosphere? Giving critical thought to this, being human is actually a matter of the idea of thinking. However, love and all its contents have at almost everything to do with this. In reference to both writing works of art by the authors Bell Hooks and Masaru Emoto, love is given utmost consideration in virtually every kind of situation. Human instinct itself, which is considered the most correct self-governed drive, in terms of an individual doing what is considered rather right, results to decision making that mainly proves that love is rather in built in every single human being. The latter consideration that to make possible the issue of water, a thought facilitated by author Masaru Emoto, living life to the fullest is a point of utter essence. Human conscience is known to or rather be viewed as the instrument used to purify this water. As a result, humans converse messages of beauty and that give much strength to daily life. In further elaborate terms, this very human conscience is a major factor that contributes to basic instincts that in majority of the cases push an individual to work in the most favorable manner. Thus, Emotos’ view and description of love in general is by far much acceptable and gives a rather intelligent meaning to what exactly love should be. In our own private sphere of life and in a much broader or macro community that includes independent lifestyles all-round the globe, not majority have embraced the principal love is actually ones true destiny. The confusion of love for emotions and other misunderstood feelings on the other hand is a major hindrance to the proper use and translation of love. As many, most especially the youth of the current generation continue to use the excuse of love to provide and certain their desires, it is important to note that, as these tends to continue, the more Love actually tends to lose its meaning and value as well. With time, our authors cite that there would be nothing to look back to, that would serve as reminder for people, of what exactly love is intended to be, which in short words, is human destiny, the ultimate all and the major reason as to why life in itself exists. There exists that confused mentality in people that any good doing could be interpreted as love, giving the offered the thought that an utterly huge favor has been done unto him, and considering him or herself indented to the persona who allegedly showed an instance of the so called love. This consequently leaves the most misinformed party, who in this case is the doer of the action referred to as a showoff love, to be viewed to have shown love. Such an instance results to building an opportunity to be regarded in view of his actions which shouldn’t be the case. Love knows no brag and is a very strong emotion that everyone has a different understanding of. Some people even spend most of their lifetime trying to find someone to love them. In the end what really matter is true love. The kind you find between a mother and a child, a brother and a sister and the sincerest of lover. Work Cited Hooks, Bell. All About Love.
