Implementation of methods to improve the living condition in poor countries over the next twenty five years is a highly controversial and current issue. Most of the poor countries in the world have been suffering from low income, severe poverty, food shortage, unemployment, chronic diseases, premature deaths, terrorism, and over population. High population and low income in these poor countries promote social and political conflicts and regional insecurity. News reports show that the people in poor countries have suffered with lack of jobs, health problems because of poor nutrition, and insufficient medical care. The news article entitled Ghana study reveals low life expectancy by S. Makalo states that ; “Several factors such as natal related deaths, malnutrition, inadequate poor public sanitation, a combination of deadly infectious, and increasing diseases brought about by the lifestyle of Ghanaians have been responsible for the low life expectancy.” (Makalo para 2). The author notices the low living standard of most of the Sub Saharan countries and other poor nations in the world. Studies show that more than 18 million people have died all over the world in one year because of poverty related causes. The striking news is that majority of these deaths occurred in poor countries. So, it is crystal clear that preventive measures are essential for poor countries for the next twenty five years. Studies prove that, in future most of the Afro Asian countries would either collapse or would be victimized by terrorism and other anti social activities. Low income and high population are the two sides of the same coin in poor countries. Poor status of industrialization in these developing countries requires more job vacancies and better standard of living. Growing rate of population is a severe problem in many poor countries. The low standard of life and other problems are more severe and it needs international attention. So the study is entitled “What are the relevant approaches to improve the quality of life in poor countries over the next twenty five years?” Statement of goals: The paper puts forward three options/approaches for improving the quality of life in poor countries. Based on the level of priority the goals also vary. This has some long term goals including, 1. To establish a stable and functioning government. This one is related with the political and military fields. Stable and at the same time functioning government is essential for the development of any country. 2. Enough job vacancies help people to improve their living standard and positive food habits. To acquire sustainable development in trade, employment, food and nutrition is an important goal in this field. 3. Continuous and equal development of personal income and the equal distribution of GDP are also other important goals. 4. To overcome the problem of epidemic diseases and poor nutrition among the poor countries are the first and most relevant goal in this program. 5. To create a group of children with appropriate mental and physical health among these countries is the second and long term goal. Eradication of epidemic diseases such as AIDS, Chronic diseases, and hypertension in third world nations is also another significant aim. To create political and social backgrounds for these programs is more important. To establish highly efficient and cooperative system of health care system and medicine is an essential need over the next twenty five years. For achieving the above mentioned goals, developed countries and international organizations should make or prepare different programs. Option A: To improve the quality of life in poor countries, international society and developed countries in the world such as the United States of America, Britain, France and China should have a positive decision to promote both financial and humanitarian aids. Lack of modern and equipped hospitals promotes severe health problems and epidemic diseases. Health problem among women and children in poor countries has become an international threat. Poorest countries of the world face lot of problems due to chronic diseases, which are not treated because of poor hospital facilities and low income. The rate of HIV infected persons has been growing day by day and the regional governments in these countries fail to provide sufficient medical treatments. It is more significant and fearful matter that over the next twenty five years AIDS and other epidemic diseases will kill majority of the population. Developed nations and international organizations can provide medicines and human resources for the people who are suffering from severe diseases. Through sending efficient medical teams and research groups, other nations can ensure their participation in the process of improving health and medicine in poor nations. It is a better action to take measures for providing modern treatments and medical machineries for the poor people. Millions of people in poor countries need low cost and scientific treatment. Developed countries including the United States and UNO (United Nations Organizations) have announced various packages including financial aids for poorest nations in the world Option B: The second option is to improve the quality of life in poor countries, both regional governments and other developed countries should support the establishment of small scale industries in the poor countries. Lack of job vacancies and low income would make the life of the people in third world countries more miserable. Developed countries can take a positive approach to launch agriculture based small scale industries in these countries to overcome food problem and the problem of low income. In future, unemployment and overpopulation can become a great threat in third world countries. To encourage the international community to invest their capital in poorest countries in the world for enhancing their living standard is another important step. Option C: Thirdly, measures for preventing over population are essential for improving the quality of living standard in poor nations. Over population is a negative factor which prevents the development of a nation. To provide more investment in the fields of education and health care is a significant measure to improve the living standard of the people living in poor countries. Illiteracy promotes blind admiration of social and religious customs. Early marriage has become an important cause of over population and poor health condition among the people who live in third world countries. A large number of children in these poor countries are not able to complete their elementary education because of poverty. It is better to establish enough free higher education facilities in these nations which will be highly useful to improve the quality of life. Out of the above mentioned three options, Option A seems to be the best to improve the quality of life in poor countries over the next 25 years. As health of the people is the most valuable asset and the most required factor of any nation, primary priority should be given to the improvement of health of the people. In order to meet this requirement, an effective system should always be active to prevent almost all types of diseases. Almost all the countries are affected with fatal epidemics and sexually transmitted diseases. It is crystal clear that the scale of this type of diseases will be increasing in future as people’s life style has totally changed. In this regard, improvement of the hospitals with upgraded technical devices is much more important than any other requirements. Added to that, countries, especially the poor countries, should be facilitated with improved nutrition programs to achieve the prearranged goal of a nation with improved living conditions over the next twenty five years. As money plays a gigantic role in materializing this dream, the developed nations can make considerable contribution in the form of funds. As better living condition is inevitable to build a strong nation, health care programs can bring forth drastic changes in the living status of the people in poor countries over the next twenty five years.
