            The ethical perspective of principle provides that, for an action to be right, it must follow a number of principles. These include respect for all people and their autonomy. Beneficence, which means being of benefit, non-maleficence, and which refers to the minimizing of harm. Justice is another ethical perspective, which means treating others equitably and distributing burdens or benefits fairly. The principles give a combination of outcomes-based perspectives and rules (Steiner, 2007).

            From an ethical perspective, it is clear that all people must be respected for an action to be right. All people include the old people in employment. They must be respected in their place of work for the role they play. The older employees are more experienced than the younger employees, therefore, they are required to use their experience to achieve the best results in companies and nurture the young employees into the doctrines and practices of the organization.

            The other aspect of the ethical perspective is that people should be of benefit and minimize harm. The older employees are of benefit to the companies due to the imperative function they play within the organization due to the many years of experience they have. They also minimize harm in the organization because they are more careful in their work and due to their vast experience in the job; it is difficult for them to cause harm.

            Lastly, the perspective requires that everyone be treated equitably and that burdens or benefits should be distributed fairly. This means that all employees including the old and the young employees should be treated equitably. Distribution of the benefits or burdens of employment should be done fairly to ensure that no inequity takes place in service on the foundation of age or any other basis (Steiner, 2007). Therefore, older workers are not taking employment from younger workers, but they are only doing what is considered right and ethical.
