It is difficult to answer the research questions since minimal attention is given to the matter. It is hence difficult to find information without trying hard to do so.
Attempt to Answer the Questions and Results
Like any other form of research, the author strives to gather the information that may be relevant to answering the research questions by using approaches such as questionnaires and collecting data from local authorities that act as hubs for spring break. Using these different ways of gathering data ensures that the research questions will be answered in an extensive nature. As the author had initially hinted, there are numerous adverse outcomes of spring break in the form of road safety, particularly as an upshot of drunken driving.
Implications of Health Policy
French and Gumus have illustrated the affiliation between spring break and health; there is a surged number of fatal and non-fatal traffic accidents, and there are also an elevated number of unprotected sexual encounters. These two key issues are closely related to health policy. French and Gumus (p. 2) suggest that authorities should try to enlighten college students on some of these issues. This can be taken up as a health policy; enlightening the students on the outcomes of the spring break.
The class should discuss whether colleges should actually encourage spring breaks seeing that there is much to lose.
