The jury will have so many questions to answer about the officer. First the jury will not trust the officer anymore since the officer can end up taking other valuables from office. An officer should take into account that such unethical. If an officer needs supplies home use, he should stop by the store and purchase them. Companies acquire assets for businesses; employees should know that these are not for their personal use. Everybody has the responsibility to protect and safeguard company property from theft, loss and misuse. The law enforcing officer should use the business assets for authorized and business purposes only.
As citizen, I feel irritated by the sight of an officer eating for free. The officer gets a pay from the state for his services. Taking free food is similar to daylight robbery and should not be taken lightly.
As an officer, eating complimentary meals without sufficient legal proof is not acceptable. On finding out that the meal is free, I will finish the meal that I had paid for and after the meal, insist that the proprietors take your pay for the services offered.
