The outcome of the results also revealed that low socio-economics status of parents causes teenage pregnancy.

This was supported by Popenoe (1998) work that had revealed that most of teenagers getting pregnant were from poor socio-economic status parents (Maliki, 2012). The outcome also revealed that cultural factors caused teenage pregnancy. It also showed that parent permissiveness contributed to teenage pregnancy. Teenage sex behavior was also a leading contributor to teenage pregnancy. This was corroborated by female problem report of 2010 that indicated that some life circumstances placed young girls at a higher risk of being teen mothers (Maliki, 2012).

The result also indicated that the effects of teenage pregnancy were school drop out, low self-esteem, and early parenthood. The school drop out and low self-esteem was supported by the report of Robin (2011 that showed that education failure and school drop out are the harmful effects of teenage pregnancy, and low self-esteem as a negative impact of teenage pregnancy (Maliki, 2012).Explain how this article fits into the overall field of sociology.
