Client’s 30 November There are different strata in our society, people belonging to the lowest strata live in utter poverty and often fail to afford two meals per day, on the contrary there are affluent people belonging to the highest or the well of strata in our society. They own cars, have servants who look after them and can buy almost everything using their wealth. There is a lot of disparity in our society; this disparity is mainly because the people who are in the lower strata have not had opportunities.

Education is a classic example, affluent people are well read and have had the chance to attend good schools and colleges, poor people on the contrary have been deprived of this necessity and the same has made a lot of difference. The middle class arguably have seen the best and worst of both the worlds, at times the middle class have struggled but on other times they have managed to live life with dignity and self respect. I am proud to acknowledge the fact that I belong to a middle-class family.

My parents have heavily invested in my education because education these days has become a business. I may not have a car but I do have the ability to earn money and buy a car probably after a few years. I may not have the best of the world but I certainly have the ability to earn it after a few years. I may not have all the money in the world but I certainly have self belief which is certainly more important then having a truck load of money. I have been heavily influenced because I have lived a middle-class life thus far, right from a very young age I was taught that money is not everything, it is your ability and belief in your abilities which can make all the difference in this world.

Right from a very young age I was taught that self-respect plays a major role in a person’s life, I was also taught that offending others and disrespecting them would only show your class and what you are made up of, these are some really important lessons that I have learned as a youngster. I do get jealous when I see people getting out from their big cars and I do appreciate good gestures like affluent people donating money without letting their left hand know what their right hand is doing but I get irritated when people intentionally let others know how great they have become all of a sudden just by donating some money to a poor differently-abled kid who had no food to eat and has been starving for days.

I am happy that I have always been taught to believe in hard work and most importantly in my ability to turn the tables, I have also been taught to be optimistic come hell or high water. I may not be rich today; I may not have a car today but tomorrow certainly is another day.
