RUNNING HEAD: NOT FOR PROFIT PLAN Not For Profit Plan Not For Profit Plan Following the idealists theory, it is in order to say that people are naturally good and it is actually the environment they grow up in that determines whether they become good or bad. Therefore, based on this theory, people always show interest in activities that are of benefit to those who are less privileged in society. There are a million reasons to raise money, but let's focus on the requirements of organizing a fundraiser for Child Abuse Prevention organization.

The plan will clearly outline the steps that will be taken to ensure the success of the event. The goal of this fundraiser event is to raise fund for the education program of the organization for teen mothers. The event targets participants from a wide range of social groupings. The major guests however, are the young generation showbiz people, middle class and lower class households and also government representative agencies (Powell, 1987).The organizing committee will plan out a more teen oriented event so that teen mothers will be encouraged to attend and participate in the activities.

The committee has to consider an athletic field event that would allow and accommodate varied and several activities to take place. This is a perfect opportunity to attract audience from a national platform. The function is projected to be held at the end of year period when most of people will be on holiday and year-end leave. Planning this kind of event requires considerable amount of time and effort but the rewards will make a future for these teen mothers as well as their children. The date of the actual event will be pegged further to give ample time to organize.

The organizing committee will utilize the services of more volunteers who will help in their areas of expertise to ensure the success of the activity. Further, the event's speakers will be selected. The speakers will be chosen from individuals who exude a role model image in society with a wide public appeal. There is also a subcommittee that will decide on the perfect location to hold the event. The budget will be prepared by persons who had previous experience in handling such kind of events.

This budget accounts for the whole costs of the function. They range from costs of operations to the tickets expected to be sold. The price of the tickets will be accounted in the budget so as to project the expected sales as against the expenditures. The manpower will be provided mostly by volunteers in order to keep the cost at a minimum level. However, it is expected that some tasks that require specialized knowledge and skill can be provided by paid professionals. The committee will solicit organizing finances from businesses with a social welfare or charitable program.

Donations may vary from cash to kind or anything that the donor would willingly spare. Pledges by business firms and individuals for the seed money will give a positive outlook on the success of the activity. Moreover, donation requests may also be placed in public venues such as schools and churches (Powell, 1987).The event principal publicist will be the government press which guarantees a nationwide outreach. However, private media houses are also vital in the role of making the public aware of this initiative.

This campaign is targeted to capture national support. Equally important, public institutions will be of much importance in sending this message to the intended beneficiaries in order to make this campaign relevant. Finally, a list of the organizing committee members must be prepared for future references. The list of prominent invited guests and donors must be strategically placed in the program to highlight their valuable contribution in the success of the activity. To document the activity and to broadcast it to the public at large, journalists, reporters, photographers, as well as radio and television networks will be among the invited guests.
