Summary- The study under consideration focused on the cell phone adaptors in Hong Kong between the time period 1998-2000, and the socioeconomic characteristics of the people who adapted to the cell phones in a successive manner. It was observed that in the time period under consideration the number of people who lagged in adapting to cell phones as a means of communication gradually shrank, however, the socioeconomic attributes of the people played a significant role in determining their predilection for adapting to cell phones.

It was observed that the people who did not adapt to cell phones in the given time period happened to be 16.1 years older as compared to those who had the cell phones. It was also observed that the people who did not adapted to cell phones tended to ascribe to low educational attainment and income levels. It was also noted that the people who adapted to cell phones earlier were more likely to adopt other media technologies. 1.2 Article II Humble-Thaden, B. (2011). Summary- It is a fact that the High School students though tend to use cell phones are usually prohibited from carrying cell phones by the school authorities. Most of the teachers tend to consider cell phones as a distraction rather than an educational device and the parents tend to agree with the opinion of the teachers. The purpose of this study was to compile the college freshmen’s perception regarding the usage policies pertaining to cell phones in high schools, the perception of cell phone as a learning aid and how these perceptions tended to differ in the context of gender.

The results culled out in this study found that the college environment was more accepting of cell phone usage as compared to the high school policies. The students also evinced a positive reflective perception of cell phone as an educational tool in secondary education.
