In the past decade there is an extensive use of the CCTV (close circuit televisions) and installations mainly in the towns and the city areas. In Britain the broadcasting is one of the most costly CCTV coverage in the world. This has been due to the proactive initiative taken by the central government under which around £38 million has been used and made available to support more than 585 local close circuit televisions systems in the year 1995 (Welsh and Farrington 2002).
The CCTV systems have been installed in several areas like town centres, malls, shops, shopping centres, transportation facilities, business centres, playing grounds, and police custody suits and so on.
