One of such sociologists is Singh who has come up with a journal, that outlines women’s tribulations in a more detailed and succinct manner. the successive paragraphs will elaborate on the critical reviews, as well as, the conceptual framework or structure of development and gender paradigm. The paper will also analyze the theoretical aspects and foundations of the women societal framework. It is not strange to find women in the current societies getting sidelined by men when it comes to the development and economic issues.

The first argument stated by Singh in the journal targets women in relation to gender as well as development paradigm. Most of the early development organizers and planners viewed women as structures, symbol or representatives of traditional culture. This way, they considered them as economic and development hindrance and liabilities. However, in this article Singh informs the readers, via theoretical approach on the importance of women in facilitating development in the society. The evolution of development paradigm and gender has paralleled the upcoming of feminist reasoning and thinking.

Liberal feminism, in this case, favors the women including them, as part of development in the society that is WID (Women in Development). Marxist feminism however pushes women towards WAD (Women and Development). It is that undoubtedly true that WID theory supports women as important aspect of the societal development plans (Singh 1376) (Singh 1376). The impact of this is derived from Table 1, it led to the rise of a Feminism movement in the Western nations. The aim of the movement was to encourage women inclusion in development progresses of their societies.

WID, unlike WAD, brings onto the light of the reader that women and society are not separable. It advocates for this through the argument earlier on that women are associated with household chores and traditional societal cultures. This association with the traditional culture arguably elaborates and entails their love for the society. It is therefore, very wrong according to WID to simply separate women and development. WID thus stresses on the women responsibilities and importance in the economic development of different societies (Singh 1374).

The theory, thus give women more perception of their environments. It also empowers and encourages them to fight intellectually towards their acceptance in the society. There is also another influence of feminism through the characterization of patriarchy. WID underscored on women’s patriarchy in the community, WAD is associated with a lot of gender based discrimination which is practice, mostly practiced in haves against the have nots. GAD, on the other hand outlines the women’s vulnerable societal positions compared to that of men.

GAD is, thus, informative about the problems most women face in various societies. WCD (Woman and Culture explains the necessity of women agency, just as a society’s culture is crucial. In other words, it describes the importance of women in all societies irrespective of geographical locations. One of the arguments concerning the economic wellbeing of WID is that overpopulation normally leads to scarcity of resources. WID thus stresses on controlled birth for a better and comfortable environment.

The relationship between culture and the three phases, WID, WCD WAD, are described. For instance, Jahan in his research discovered that using WID (examples sex ratio and fert5ility rate) normally blurs the picture of the realities of women, thus creating an apparent uniformity. Women alienation in the economic aspect of a society therefore depends
