It is presumed that the induced abortion basic reasons resolve around health issues, economic challenges and the relationship problems. Additionally, the data further indicate that at least 20 million of voluntarily induced abortion occurs in countries that prohibits the abortion procedure (Human Right Watch p. 41). Though both the developed and developing countries pose different legal status of pro-abortion, abortion rates are estimated to be similar across developed and developing countries (Sedgh p.225). This retrospect paper seeks to identify social injustices of induced abortion across the contemporary society, its movement, challenges and abortion management Ideologies as an Agent Contemporary society philosophers, scientists and members of elite class such as judges are perceived to be the main ideologist in pro abortion issues (Dennehy p. 265). It is presumed the urgency of the group ideology towards legalization of the induced abortion indicates their will to abandon the rational inquiry in favor of the ideology. Based on the judicial semantics in the case or Roe v. Wade decision, the court justified that women can participate in abortion therapeutic if the fetus pose some challenges and complications to a mothers health, well-being, social and economic position, and age of the women (Pew Research Center p. 1). Arguably, the ideologies of the above mentioned group attained its success in rendering induced abortion therapeutic to the society. Theoretically, ideologies in society entail utilitarian, sociological and evolutionistic (Ruute p. 44). It is worth noting that the criterion of sociological, it is unnecessary for the ideology to embrace by society as a whole. In this retrospect some group such as medical professions, scientific communities and academicians tend to embrace induced abortion while group such as religion stands against abortion. Considering Uganda case studies, 80% of the Uganda population is women with the higher percentile from the Catholic Church (Murray p. 1). The Catholic Church has a higher influential practices regarding society norms and practices. Uganda academic institutions contained articles and manuals containing chapters on safer sex to avoid abortion spearheaded by the Ugandan Government (Larsson p. 2). After a decade of the implementation, the curriculum had to be withdrawn from the academic institutions. In India, religion and social sentiments inhibit women from seeking pro Abortion services from public health institutions (Bahera p. 131). Contrarily, the Indian law permits pro Abortion on broader social ground (Sabastian p.14). In this retrospect, Indian women seeking pro Abortion continue to patronize illegal abortion. In this perspective, the ideologies as a social agent of pro abortion has not shown success for the society ease acceptance of pro abortion Nations as an Agent Currently nations are politically divided based on liberals and conservative perspectives (Locker p.13). Liberals appreciate the notion behind the pro choice life while conservatives are in favor of pro-life in issues regarding pro abortion. As such, nations embedded by high population of liberals tend to believe that individuals have the power and freedom to engage in pro-abortion. Conservatives believe that the pro-choice and pro-life freedoms are only offered by institutions such as communities and churches. In Nicaragua, case study shows that the country eliminated penal code law by general ban of both illegal and therapeutic procedures of the pro Abortion in 2007 (Otero 2013). As such, the country is noted to have the most restrictive abortion laws, similar to Chile and El Salvador an indication of a conservative nation (Oberman p. 6). The prohibition of abortion in Nicaragua contributes towards an increasing high mortality rate thus, 250 maternal deaths per 100, 000 live births, a ratio that is continuously doubling up in Nicaragua (Perez p.33). Such a restrictive penal code law indicates a system of structural violence against women, denying women the freedom of access to good health hence an increasing maternal death in the country. Though Nicaragua analysis indicates a negative outcome of inhibiting pro-abortion, the country does not showcase its willingness to amend the law due to its strong conservative practices. Contrarily, in United States of America, liberalization has enabled the country to embrace the notion of the induced abortion for families (Center for Reproductive Rights p. 1). In this context, it can be argued that nation’s sub-division based on liberalization and conservativeness, the pro abortion is not fully accepted across societies. Organizations as an agent Majority of the organizations are leading in pro Abortion campaigns. Amongst is the International Campaigns for Women’s Freedom to medical abortion (ICWFMA) that entails at least 100 countries that promote women’s rights towards Pro safe abortion (DAWN p. 1). The aim of the movement is to promote women’s well being and the women rights issues thus, support women on how to make right decisions weather to have children and have in depth information as to some of the important reasons in engaging into pro Abortion. Though the organization showcases the compliance of the rules and regulations from WHO of 2012, ICWRSA has only tapped a fraction of the globe hence a weakness of the campaign (Center for Reproductive Rights p. 2). Asia Safe Abortion Partnership (ASAP) is a movement is a regional Organization that promotes sexual reproductive health and rights of human beings (Vonk p. 2). The movement ASAP focuses on reducing the increasing number of women unsafe abortion by promoting the ease access to comprehensive services of safe abortion both in public and private health facilities. The organization comprises of lawyers, doctors, nurses and researchers across the board. The movement is continuously growing in more than a dozen countries in Asia Pacific region in service delivery for safer abortion. Research indicates that unsafe abortion in Asia Pacific region claims the lives of more than 17, 000 from unsafe abortion due to restrictive laws against abortion (United Nations Human Rights p. 211). Contrarily, ASAP continues to pose outstanding performance in increasing safe abortion hence reducing abortion stigmatization across adults Culture as an Agent Africa is perceived to be a highly cultural practice continent (Ojua p 179). Currently pro abortion is not acceptable in Africa cultural setting since it is perceived morally wrong in the society (Turyomumazima p. 1). As per the research, Maputo protocol tried to introduce obscure provision of article 14 (2) (C)) that embraces westernize cultural practice of pro abortion but failed to be accepted and implemented (Mujuzi p. 44). In Tanzania, the pro abortion lobby activists tried to introduce a bill named “Safe Motherhood Bill” to allow pro abortion to take place similar with the conditions of the westernize cultures. The lobby failed to convince the African minds because in African setting it is believed that in every pro abortion one person is killed, one person is wounded while the other party gets paid (Hagama p. 1). Additionally, African society is presumed to value the aspect of child bearing, the family and mothering against the potential treats of engaging into pro abortion practices. Contrarily, in westernize countries, cities hold cultural practices in promoting pro abortions. The move of holding the event as a cultural practice agenda is to terminate the stigma of abortion across organizations, families and religion entities in women engaging in pro abortion procedures. The movement is highly celebrated by more than 30 cities in Europe, an indication that in Europe pro abortion is greatly support in comparison to Africa continent at large. The split between African culture and westernize culture contributes towards the unsuccessful implementation of pro abortion across the globe. In this retrospect, a heating debate will always arise in Africa for any project geared by westernized continents in support of pro abortion in Africa. Recommendations and Conclusion for Induced Abortion Campaigns In the current contemporary society, views expressed adjudicate that pro-abortion movements need to promote strategies on how to end unintended pregnancies that contribute towards pro-abortion (Dreweke p. 1). As such, reducing unwanted pregnancies will reduce high statistics of induced abortion hence an approach towards reducing contemporary problems that are of great concern. It is recommended that both the new and the existing campaigns need to target all demographics because abortion challenges are of public concern hence demand for newer public policies and institutional practices (Dreweke p. 1). In this retrospect, the pro- abortion campaigns need to focus on long term goals by building the national consensus of the social injustices of induced abortion by educating the public to fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of induced and unsafe abortion. Conclusively, it is important to note that the incidence of pro-abortion injustices might be reduced over a period of time but the injustices will never be wiped out completely. The challenges of pro-abortion will always arise based on the varied community’s cultural practices, religion believes and the individual socio-economic status. As such, an increasing campaign on the use of contraceptives must be encouraged as a fighting element towards reducing of the unwanted pregnancies that contributes towards planned and unplanned abortions in the contemporary society.
