Sample Population The sample population in the research includes the employees of the company that will be selected randomly without any specific criteria. This is because the company has many employees who work in different departments, and in order to determine how information flows in the organization it is important to select employees from different departments. Additionally, choosing the employees from the organization as my sample population will play a vital role in ensuring that the research question is fully accomplished, as the population is accessible and is convenient with the time that the research will be conducted {FormattingCitation}(Enarson, Kennedy, & Miller, 2004). Since the selection of the samples will be random, the participants will fulfill two characteristics that include that every individual in the organization will have the opportunity to be selected. Secondly, the manner in which one person is selected will be independent of how the other person will be selected (Walsh & Wigens, 2003). The benefit of using a random sample is that there is the generalization of the population one is interested in the study. In this case the population is of about 1,000 employees and out of the 1,000 100 will be selected to generalize the 1,000 employees. Additionally, the selection method will use simple random sample where each individual will be chosen randomly and by chance (Torgerson & Miles, 2007). In that, each individual has the same probability of being chosen at any stage throughout the sampling process. In so doing, the technique will be unbiased as the employees of that are chosen without determining any particular characteristic. The research study will have data sources that will provide actual information shedding light on how employees can use the social media as a platform to raise grievances. The data sources will play a crucial role in the research, as they will explain the theoretical concept of social media and how it has been misused in the organization. In so doing, the information collected or data collected will be compared with what the information provided by the sample population and establish whether there is a relationship between the data. Additionally, the data source will be used to improve or emphasize on what the participants provide during the research. By so doing, the research will have adequate information that will be analyzed first hand without facing any challenges (Howard & Hussain, 2011). Data collection methods Appropriate data collection methods are required in order to get accurate information on the research question it is important to choose a data collection method that is appropriate for the research question. This is because using the right data collection methods ensures that there is accuracy in the information that is provided; hence, increasing the credibility of the study (Enarson et al., 2004). Additionally, the type of variable that is to be evaluated in the research matters a lot, as well as, the skill of the data collected. In this case, the data collection method that I have chosen is the questionnaire, which will be both structured and unstructured. Secondly, interviews will be conducted on the employees that have been randomly chosen to participate on the study. The reason for choosing the questionnaire is that they inexpensive in the sense that the participants will fill and return them with the information required (Walsh & Wigens, 2003). Secondly, the questionnaires have ethical considerations where the participants will not have to fill in their name or write any details in the forms that would amount to them being discriminated in the organization. Being that the questionnaires will be filled in the organization it is clear that the employees have high literacy levels and for that reason the respondents will be co-operative (Surveys & Guidelines, 2010). The interviews that will be conducted in the organization by the data collector will be face to face. In that, the participants will each have an interview with the interviewee to establish ways the social media can be used as a platform to raise grievances. However, for employees who will not be available for face to face interviews telephone interview will be conducted where all the questions in the interview both face to face and telephone interview will be similar. This is because there is need of uniformity in the answers provided by the employees to establish ways in which the research will be of benefit to the organization as a whole (Surveys & Guidelines, 2010). Additionally, by asking the same question the analyses of data will be easier for the researcher. Variables Variables explain the difference in the world. In research, the change or the difference can occur naturally or due to manipulation. Various variables that will be included in the research study and they are dependent and independent variable among others. The employees are variables in the research because they cannot be manipulated since they were chosen randomly meaning that I will not have control over the participants (Toledo-Pereyra, 2012). Therefore, the employees are dependent variables, as well as, the social media. Dependent variables indicate the effect of introducing or manipulating the independent variable, meaning that the dependent variable depends on the difference in the independent variable. Independent variables are also involved in the research where I will have control over the participants. Additionally, I will have control of introduction new variables in the research setting where a new method will be used for a different type of class (Toledo-Pereyra, 2012). By so doing, the independent variables will have effect on the relationship of the dependent variables. The research will also have confounding variables because there are some factors in the environment that may affect the dependent variable although they are not controlled (Alstad, 2005). However, confounding variable is dangerous because in most cases they damage the validity of the study making it impossible to establish whether the effects were caused by the moderator variable or the independent variable. The variables used in the research will determine how one factor causes change in the other (Toledo-Pereyra, 2012). By so doing, the difference will establish how the organization can be helped in determining what the actual result of the research is. Statistical analysis After data, collection it is vital that the data be analyzed to determine whether the study conducted answered the research question. Data analysis is defined as the process of cleaning, inspecting, transforming, as well as, modelling data in the effort of discovering the useful information and suggesting conclusions and decision making in case studies that are made in the effort of find a solution to a problem as in this case (Schutt, 2012). The research question after data analysis will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, which provide simple summaries about sample and the observations that have been made. By so doing, it will play a vital role in making recommendations about the research, as well as, how it will not help the organization in question but other organizations in dealing with employees who dwell so much on social media (Walsh & Wigens, 2003). For example, in the research question as to how the social media can be used as a platform to raise grievances and share information through the questions and interviews given to the employees the summaries will be conducted to give to conclusion of the study. In that, there will be use of graphs accompanied with short summaries to analyze the conclusion of the study. Bivariate analysis will be used where in this case there is more than one variable that is being considered on the research study. In this case, statistical analysis will be used to describe the relationship between groups of variables. The bivariate analysis will have graphical representations, quantitative measures, and descriptions of conditional distributions (Forman & Damschroder, 2007). There will also be the use of inferential statistics in the analysis of the data where it will be used to test the null hypothesis in the research. This is because inferential statics is used to examine the hypothesis while making the estimations using sample data. Therefore, the inferential statistics will be used to infer prediction in relation to a larger population than that which is represented in the sample (Allua & Thompson, 2009). The reason this statistical method analysis is important or is appropriate for the analysis of the data is that the data collected in the research is not complex (Schutt, 2012). For that reason, it requires a data analysis method that can effectively make summaries of the information that was gathered in the research. Additionally, descriptive statistics as the name suggests describes the information provided given summary conclusion on the data found. Inferential analysis is imperative in the analysis of the null hypothesis in the sense that, it makes estimations using the sample data in case a larger population was used (Fisher & Marshall, 2009). In this case, a small sample was gathered to establish the relationship of two or more variables. Additionally, inferential statics also looks at the different relationships that have been created by different variable when in turn he examines them (Allua & Thompson, 2009). Therefore, the two data analysis method will help in analyzing the data and ensuring that the research question is answered. This is because the research question is meant to help the organization in establishing how the employees other than using them for other social media interactions will use the social media. By analyzing the data collected, it will be clear whether the research question is workable or the organization has to find another solution to deal with the issue of knowledge sharing and raising grievances. Additionally, the analysis will establish how different variables affect each other ensuring that they explain the relationship they create in the research (Toledo-Pereyra, 2012). Limitations The limitations of the research study are those characteristics of methodology or design that affected the application or the interpretation of the results. Therefore, they are constraints on utility and generalizability of findings that are because of the ways an individual chooses to design the study, as well as, the method that is used to determine the internal and external validity (Hansen, 2011). The limitation in the research are likely to be that the research will be time consuming as it requires the evaluation of many employees in the organization who needs to be listened to during the interviewee. This is because although in some cases a time limit is set on the amount of time each employee will use on the interviewee some employees deviate from the issues; hence, using more time than required to complete the interview. Secondly, going through the questionnaire will consume a lot of time, as the data have to be clearing analyzed to ensure that the actual results of the research are received. Another limitation that is likely to occur in the research is that since the research selects it participants randomly without establishing any characteristics they may choose people have almost the same preference making it hard to determine how to help the organization in the relation to the research issue (Walsh & Wigens, 2003). Thirdly, being that the research uses sample population and data sources the research will be cumbersome. This is because it requires so much concentration to ensure that the analysis that will be made will be true and there will be no falsifying of information or using fraudulent information. By so doing, the credibility of the research will be high and its aims and objectives will be received. Lastly, the data required for the research is not adequate has the subject area of the research has not been explored and for that reason, it will need a lot of work for the researcher to find the right material to use in the research. Ethical considerations Ethical considerations are very important in any research because they ensure that in case there are human participants they are accorded respect and the decency they deserve. Therefore, before beginning the research informed consent will be acquired from the participants to ensure that the content of information they give they do it willingly and any person to participate in the research or study has not coerced them (Austin & Leong, 2006). This will indicate that the participants participated in the research voluntarily. The research will be quality work that will maintain integrity in the sense that in case of any quotation or any use of any authors work he or she will be referenced at the end of the research. Thirdly, the research will maintain the anonymity and confidentiality of the respondents who will participate in the research. By so doing, there will be no bias in the organization, as the whistle blower will not be identified. The research will reduce or minimize any harm that may result from the respondents participating in the research. This information will be send across before the research or the study can begin to ensure that all the persons are comfortable with the terms and conditions of the research. By so doing, every participants in the study will be comfortable with the things that will be conducted in the research. The research is will be an independent work that will be impartial in the sense that there will be no traces of plagiarism. By so doing, the work will be credible and not fraudulent. Lastly, I will ensure that I reciprocate to the participants for helping me in conducting the research by doing something like buying coffee for them or something more.
