Origination of Public Policy The public policy for Global Warming was originated in 1969 during the era of Richard Nixon as the 37th president of the United States. He was the first politician to have put Global Warming on a political agenda and wished for civil pillar of NATO to treat the environmental topics. The environmental topics included greenhouse effect, acid rain and such.Implementation of Public Policy~ Climate Laws Institution and Measures Index This policy was derived from officials to be used for comparing the quality of climate policies, their laws and institutions among a wide range of countries.

~ National Communications to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change A list of countries that approved of the Kyoto Protocol are to submit National Communications, which demands the countries to include detailed accounts of the climate change in their country, adaptations taken for it, the policies of mitigation and the adaptive measures taken by the country’s government.Role of Public Policy Theories in Daily Lives of Policy Practitioners Public policy theory, the study or discussion of public policies (in this case relating to Global Warming) play an important role in the daily lives of a policy practitioner.

It would one’s first priority as a policy practitioner to keep up to date with what goes on in their world, their country and the country’s government. To stay in touch with any new changes that the government or official might decide to make or imply is what keeps a policy practitioner going, which has a high tendency of happening as Global Warming policy practitioner.Practical Values in the Understanding of Different Theories of Public Policy There is much practical value to understanding the theories of public policy for policy practitioner or analyst because keeping their discussions as close to facts as possible is what is going to help them be better at what they do.

If they start forming rhetorical theories about an issue they approach, it will be very hard for them to convince others to see their point of view.Sociological Advances Environmental Sociology developed in the 1970s when increasing awareness on a social level about global warming or climate change started taking place. By 2007 sociologists who belong to the studies of environmental problems had dedicated themselves in the investigation and application of conceptual approaches to global warming and are still ongoing.

Political Advances The U.S Global Change Research Program, developed in 1989, works with coordination and integration of federal researches done on the changes in global environment and their implications on society. The Executive Office of the President of U.S officially oversaw the U.S. Climate Change Science Program, from 2002 to 2008 which was facilitated by the National Coordination Office.Technological Advances Technology is always one step ahead in these aspects and is working hard to keep any and every innovation production as eco-friendly as possible so as to not harm the climate.

Personal View on the Provided Issue I believe that keeping public policies as close to the reality of the situation is the best a practitioner can do (Christopher A. Simon. Public Policy: Preferences and Outcomes. Chapter 2: Theories of Public Policy: How Choices Are Made). Trying to evaluate the several other outcomes of an aspect and making assumptions for a result is a waste of time. Tackling the current problems should be our focus and not the theories of ‘what if’. If anything is to be solved, it is what needs to be solved now.

Every problem needs and origin and problems of tomorrow will not arise if problems of today are gone. Reference UsedChristopher A. S. (2010), Public Policy: Preferences and Outcomes, Second Edition.
