As McNamara notes, aging comes with special needs that include special care in nursing homes and special products. Furthermore, post-retirement financial obligations present a further challenge to the aged as they have to contend with the dwindling saving or financial plan. A significant proportion of the aged populace is plunged into financial struggle by the end of their 7 years after retirement. McNamara agrees with Harry Moody that need, rather than age, should always form the basis of entitlement.

For instance, an aged person who can be taken care of within their home should not struggle to go to a nursing home. This is especially the case in this period of aging boomers. Aging has certainly offered great business opportunities for insurance companies that seek to safeguard the lives of the aged. McNamara, for instance, understood that the near future would demand experts in Geriatrics. While social security plans are critical, they are substantially unreliable as most of the aged persons run short of their saving thanks to the increase in the life expectancy.

Therefore, aged persons should be entitled to assist the home living, nursing home, and insurance plans. The strength of the video clip is that it offers an alternative financial plan to aged in place of the traditional social security plan. However, McNamara and her host fail to discuss the real issues aging boomers and how they will be catered for. Also, the show was drumming up for the insurance business instead of focussing on the controversies raised by Moody.
