Street GangsOne of the gang that has become well established is Hell’s Angels. It’s is one oldest gang group to be formed in the world. Originally it was formed in the late 1940 in the city of California in U.S before it spread to other part of the world, it was started by military skilled personnel’s in California a city in U.S who found it hard to adapt in the humble community. It was a well organized gang with every one with a role to play and has a president to govern the gang. Its members formed a motorcycle group which had members who were decided within themselves to be lawless and turn their backs to the social value of the community (Delaney, 2006).

This gang was formed to give a sense of belonging to those soldiers’ who felt odd living within a morally up right community where violence is not encouraged. Another reason that led to its formation was to give room to soldiers’ whole liked parting hard to overcome job related stress. Having tough people as its members, it was not afraid of the police force. They carried out illegal activities which included; robbing people, selling of illegal drugs and conducting killings for money (Delaney, 2006).

One of the many reasons that made them carry out murder was to scare people to keep their illegal businesses running without anyone speaking of the gang deeds. The gang was kept running from the finances it got by carrying activities such as; stealing people’s bikes, robbing the people their money, selling of illegal drugs and also making fake money to earn profit (Delaney, 2006).These gang members always identify themselves with a common symbol that acts as their flag. If a member decides to leave the gang, he/she must return the symbol that was given to him or her and if he/she bared a tattoo which is related to the group symbols, it had to be removed.

The gang is still recruiting more and more members making it stronger each day and still goes on with its illegal activities such as engaging in fights with the police who are always on the move to stop these illegal activities from going on. They still kill for them to be heard by the police force and to get what they want. They have many members and they witness more enrolling in the gang across the world (Barker 115)The gang always protects its illegal activities from the arm of the law by threats through; conducting killings of police officer and member of the public.

They earned their superiority by winning a fight with another gang leading to massive loss of life and its spreading far and beyond even if the government is following them closely, although having informers within them it still survives since it’s a big network and also has professional killers that are in the group making the police also to step back sometimes (Barker 115)Hell’s Angels has strongholds in major cities in the word making it stronger and unbeatable. It also has members who can do anything for their brothers in the group.

This is the reason why more and more teenage keep joining the group because they fill secure and can earn quick and easy money ones they are in the gang (Barker 115)ReferencesDelaney, T. (2006). American Street Gangs. Upper Saddle River, NJ Barker, T. (2010). Biker Gangs and Organized Crime. New York: Elsevier.
