The main objective is to propose a preferred solution in order to deal with Bruce’s emotional dilemma after the accident of his daughter Chelsea and his wife Cindy. The spark of revenge burning in his heart to avenge the death of his daughter as he hires a professional lawyer so that Justin Suarez is punished to the full degree according to the law. The situation raises the immensely important question of how one would deal in a similar situation where the murderer has taken a dear one. Since Bruce has suffered a great loss, the main objective is to help Bruce come out of the emotional problem he is going through.

In the solution-centered approach provided by Charles Alan Kollar in his book, he focuses on counseling to take off the attention from the problems thereby helping the counselee to focus on the solution leading to emotional and psychological well-being (1997). This type of counseling will allow Bruce to come out of the hard situation he is going through to realize further needs to educate drag drivers and other young individuals about safety. In such a way, he can recover from the problem he is going through and at the same time, it will provide inspiration for other individuals who have gone through a similar situation.

In addition, this will help promote safety among young individuals who might risk their safety of themselves or others while acting rashly. Bruce shows characteristics of a D type in the DISC relational style and hence he likes to lead and take charge. This quality can prove to be positive during his treatment according to the approach mentioned in Johnson and Johnson's book as he is suffering from an anxiety disorder after the loss of his daughter and his wife (2000). Belonging to the S type myself, I will help Bruce in his treatment through the approaches provided in Kollar's book.

As Bruce seems to be in a willing position to improve his conditions, his behavior will assist his treatment progress and the overall therapy. A very important challenge to deal with will be Bruce's involvement and his progress during the treatment. A result-oriented or solution-oriented approach is appropriate for Bruce's current behavioral position as it will motivate Bruce to move on and help him realize his loss as well as his responsibility to aware other individuals so that they may be protected from the harm and loss that he has gone through.

In any case, it would be essential to keep Bruce's focus on the result and not the problem. However, this might be difficult considering the fact that Bruce wants revenge from Suarez. According to Clinton and Hawkins, forgiveness is the key to conquer bitterness (2009). Meaning, Bruce can overcome the bitterness and vengeance felt in his heart by being forgiving. Once he forgives Suarez for his crimes, even though it has caused him great loss, he will subdue the bitterness present in his heart.

By getting rid of the bitterness, Bruce will get closer to God and recover his relationship with God and human beings (Clinton & Hawkins, 2009).The treatment would lead to a revived Bruce who has better relationship with God as well as His men. The relationship between Suarez and Bruce will improve and Bruce will have a feeling of peace in his heart for having something beneficial for the society at large.
