Religion: Theology Discussion Non-traditional Religions.” Please respond to the following: •Describe what you think is the most appealing aspect of the religion you selected to review. The most compelling aspect in Christianity is that, believers pray, worship, and put all their faith in an immortal being. Christians also believe in doctrines that are set by the Supreme Being; the set rules govern their entire life; this entails character, relationships, and the way of life (Tom, 2011).•Describe at least one (1) aspect of this nontraditional religion which clearly separates it from the more traditional religions discussed in the textbookThere is a central place of worship (church).

This is the place where, all believers gather for worship on the Sabbath or all any other religious day.•Explain why you think people would choose to join a nontraditional religion. One of the main reasons why people would choose to join religion is that religion is civilized, unlike the traditional religion. Other reasons are: readily available, and it enhances spiritual growth and development.Discussion 2: “Inter-religious Understanding.” Please respond to the following:•Describe at least one (1) idea in the United Nations reading and Swindler reading with which you agree.

The idea that the natural laws are not yet understood, but reveals its information unknowingly. This is true because in the religious life we live today, we find everything being complicated and un-understood, but we still find them revealing information on life we live (Burrell, 2010).•Describe at least one (1) idea in these readings with which you disagree.Advanced unique indoctrination comes in our life, is the idea I object. It is trues as we have to seek anything for it to be established in our life (Tom, 2011).

•Describe at least one (1) idea in these readings which you think is unlikely to become a reality and explain why.Advanced historic indoctrination is unlikely to be real. This is because it goes against natural law.•If you were in the position of ending the more serious conflicts that exist between followers of various religions, explain what you would suggest or do to help people understand and appreciate the differences between religious traditions.Creating awareness on various religions would play a vital role in appreciating diverse religions.

This will be enacted by changing individuals’ spirits and incorporating togetherness (Fuller, 2011).Discussion 3:• Please reflect upon the two previews discussion questions and give one of your key take-aways from what you learned and describe how you may apply it to your work or life.Appreciating ones religion is vital in any society. This is because it should be a way of bringing people together other than bringing divisions (Burrell, 2010).Discussion 4: “Seeking to Define.” Please respond to the following:• Explain what religion is in a single sentence.

Religion refers to a set of beliefs systems, cultural systems, and worldviews that create symbols which relate to humanity and the spiritual world.• Explain whether “religion” is different from being “religious.”There is a crucial difference between religion and being religious because being religious is seen in actions. On the other hand, religion is proclaimed by word of mouth (Fuller, 2011).• Explain whether “religious” is different from being “spiritual.”There is no difference between being religious and spiritual.

This is because the spiritual aspect is evident among the religious.• Describe whether what you learned in this course changed your understanding of these conceptsThey are many lessons learnt in this topic. It is evident that nontraditional religion has come to be appreciated by many believers. This is because it accommodates most of the activities brought to the existence by civilization. Other lessons are appreciating ones religion and differences among others (Fuller, 2011).Discussion 5: “Religious Reflections.

” Please respond to the following:•Identify three (3) things in this course that you wish had been discussed more fully, and explain why you would have liked to have learned more about those three (3) things.1. Definition of religion2. Origin of religion3. Difference religion and culture•Identify three (3) surprising things you learned this quarter, and explain why they surprised you.1. Difference between religion and being religious – this is because one can have a religion and at the same time be non-religious2.

Differences between religions – because each religion thinks they are perfect unlike their opponents3. How to appreciate ones religion – this is because it is key to bring peace and unity•Identify at least one (1) thing that will be particularly useful to you in your “real life” and explain why this will be useful information for you to know.1. The most notable thing in my life is appreciating the differences in my environment. This is because this will enhance growth and development; ideas will flow in a favorable environment.

Discussion 6:• Please reflect upon the two previews discussion questions and give one of your key take-aways from what you learned and describe how you may apply it to your work or life.It is evident that religion is part of life. People are advised to respect their religion by being religious, as there is a significant difference between religions and being religious (Tom, 2011). ReferenceTom, H., 2011. The Religious Right.
