It, therefore, promises eternal life to the people who will follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. B) This verse is all about love. It speaks of the importance of love in the church. Loving one another is not optional but it is a command from God (Rock and Anna 89). It also stresses on the importance of loving one another regardless of whether one is a Christian or not. We all should love one another. C) The verse goes to show that Jesus performed many miracles that are not documented in the bible. The miracles go to show that Jesus is the son of God. This is the main purpose why the book of John was written to show that indeed Jesus is the son of God. D) Faith brings Christians together and in the eyes of Jesus we are one regardless of race, religion, bipartisan views and political affiliations. The verse also reveals that Jesus falls in the lineage of Abraham. E) It is by faith that we believe in the word that is written in the bible. By having faith in the word of God, we are assured of salvation. Question 3 A) The Roman Empire was one of the earliest civilizations in the world. The empire was ruled by kings. In order to conquer other parts of the world, they had a strong army. They ruled by force. They also had the best architecture that built beautiful and outstanding buildings. The empire was divided into provinces for easy governance. Each province was ruled by a governor. The Romans were the ones who took charge of the crucifixion of Jesus. However, it was not the Romans who were interested in killing Jesus it were the Jews. B) Saul was a Hebrew and a strict Pharisee. He was a firm believer, but he had the wrong idea of religion. This is because he was actively involved in prosecuting the followers of Jesus. In his attempt to prosecute the followers of Jesus, Saul asked the king to be allowed to go to Jerusalem and kill some of the believers of Jesus and bring some as prisoners. He was granted permission by the king; however, as he neared Damascus he was blinded by a light that came from heaven. There was a voice of Jesus that asked Saul why he had been prosecuting his followers (Rock and Anna 44). He was given instructions to enter the city where he would receive further instructions. After this encounter with Jesus Saul could not eat or drink for three days. He had been blinded by the light from heaven. God sent a man by the name of Ananias to the house of Judas where Saul had been taken. He went and placed his hand on him, and his sight came back.
