Being an effective critical thinker makes decision-making easier based on a number of fundamental facts. Critical thinking positively influences cognitive processes of individuals effectively increasing their value judgement. Essentially, an effective thinker is able to sieve through the multiple options presented and take the best alternative that meets the predetermined objectives (Paul & Elder, 2013).

An effective critical thinker through their multi-dimensional cognitive abilities is able to make decisions that are defensible, imaginative and reasoned. The ability to derive solutions out of complex situations makes decision making easier for decision makers. It is a fact that people who are successful make better decisions than those who are less successful. Case in point is that successful people make decisions based on past experiences and thinking through the consequences of their actions.

Consequently, successful people are able to critically analyze the various options presented and choose the best that can ensure maximum benefits. Less successful people are never oblivious about the decisions they make effectively making them to miss their targets. There are a number of fundamental ways through which effectively applying critical thinking concepts has helped me to become more successful. To begin with, critical thinking has been instrumental in developing strategies, then deriving the best that are profitable (Paul & Elder, 2013).

Consequently, critical thinking concepts have improved judgement value to the extent that it has become possible to make appropriate decisions relevant for success.
