Ability to Stand Trials Evaluation Yes, the client can stand trial because of his state mentally. In determining whether somebody should stand trial nor not, there need to first to find out the mental stability of the person at the time the crime was committed. At the same time, the client has to insane to be able to stand the charges and understand the judgment and the reason for the judgment. The need for a little bit sane individual is for a fact that the prison is more of a rehabilitative center(Litwack, 2013).

Therefore, it is crucial for a person to be aware of the crime committed and understand that the sentence is meant to make them change their ways.Alecky at the time of the trial depicts some signs of an accepted level of mental stability.the client is well groomed and oriented to self, time and place. He is aware of what is taking place at the moment and the duty of every person there. However from the analysis of the mental stability, there is impaired judgment and impaired ability to make rational statements and simple calculations.

The ability to answer questions is very critical here, there is a need to answer direct questions from either the jury or the lawyers when it necessitates. With that in mind mental sanity and ability to answer questions directly is paramount in order for one to stand some trials. However with depression for the coming consequences and maybe guilty for the mistakes committed, one might lose the mental stability leaving the jury with no choice but to get the client stand trial with the help of a lawyer.
