An example of an applied research may investigate ways enhancing agricultural crop production, or finding methods of curing a particular disease. Null hypothesis The null hypothesis is the research statement that has to be proven false using a test of observed data. For this reason, a research has to be carried out to prove the hypothesis by comparing the result with the contrary condition. An example of the null hypothesis occurs when a researcher proposes a hypothesis, for example; a tomato plant shows a stable rate of growth when it is grown in compost and not in soil.

A null hypothesis will state that; tomato plants do not show any difference in growth when planted in fertilizers and manure than in soil. Delimiting research Delimiting research is a process that involves providing an account that constitutes with activities that fall under the category of scientific research. This happens with the aim of promoting a research to benefit man by determining the comparison and dissimilarity amid study activities and other activities that turn out to be noticeable.

An example of delimiting research is when human activities are demarcated to promote ethical regulation in a particular research. Research Question A research question is the practical stage of removal of academic research in accepted and communal sciences. It illustrates the entire progression, leads ones point of view and inquiry, and irritates the benefit of the assessor. If ones query fails to work properly, the attempt is improbable to be triumphant, no matter how stable the whole study is out looked.

Research questions have characteristics such as the clarity, and researchable to avoid the hardship that occurs when the research question is expansive to be carried out (Breakwell, 2007). An example of a research question states; ‘At what time do kids become aware that other individuals have contemplation process of their own, and what makes this responsiveness possible?’ Part 2 The research problem states; ‘In order to stop the access of the new video game to students in learning institution, the society requires a needs a comprehensive intervention program that consists of the administration, the staff, the learners, and the students' parents to regulate the spread of the ‘viral’ video game.

’ The research question states; ‘How does the video game full of violence, sex, and strange new ways affect the behaviors of students who turn out to be hostile on the playing field, mischievous in class, and speaking in vulgar language?’ The hypothesis of the research states; ‘If students’ behaviors changes and become unconstructive, pessimistic, and unacceptable, it is because they have seen or observed it in the video game they play and engage in after school program.’ The purpose of this case study is will be to find out the whether the new launched video game is affecting behavior of students in learning institution.

At this stage in the research, the new video game will be defined as core influential of the ill behavior of learners in school such as becoming more aggressive on the playground, misbehaving in class, and swearing in new and crazy ways. The research aims at promoting good behavior in students and making them responsible in their future lives. It also
