The talks relate to the spread of the Ebola virus and the quarantine measures that the government was taking as a preventive measure. The talks involved measures that have been put in place to have all medical workers that travelled to West Africa to offer their medical support to the African doctors quarantined for a period of two weeks as a measure of helping ensure that the disease is not carried into the country. Concerns from medical workers that were opposed to the move emerged with many claiming that the only way the virus could be controlled is by stopping its prevalence in the West African countries. According to the Governor, the measures are valid and are aimed at helping the nation protect itself from the deadly virus that many doctors that visit these countries stand to carry and transfer if they are not well scrutinized and observed to ensure that there is no chance the virus will find its way into the country. Following the discussion, one easily pictures the different political sides that each of the panelists fall on and their views on the side they walk on. All in all the opinions all surround the difficulty of the Election Day 2014 that each political side faces following the day’s closing in on campaigns. The races on senate positions are tightening and many of the contestants of both parties Republicans and Democrats are trying to motivate their voters to turn up in large numbers for the Election Day so as to support their candidates. The discussion was much understandable with all issues relating to political ideologies and aspects that reflect final day campaigns. It was easier to follow the discussion on the round table and through the improved ability to carefully analyze these discussions and draw conclusions based on the points gathered. The panelists in the show had concrete knowledge of their political sides and ensured that their speaking indicated their support for their respective politicians. According to the writer, all the different opponents have had enough time to convince their voters on who the right person for the job is and last minute political moves have limited impacts on the results of the elections. Much of the minds are either made up in such times and only await the D-day to go cast their votes for their candidates. In my opinion, it is therefore difficult to change the mind of voters at such a final stage of campaigns unless a rapid development comes up that will influence people otherwise. The discussion evidently portrayed the effects that these elections are bound to have on the leadership of President Barack Obama as he approaches the final stages of his leadership of the United States. Based on the conversations followed and the information obtained about the virus, it is fair to conclude that the government is working hard to ensure that the people are protected and the spread of the virus is denied access into the country. The country is taking the necessary precautions in ensuring that the borders are protected and those that enter into the country are screened for the virus to avoid any chances of having to deal with the virus from within the country. Among the many suggestions, the suggestion on helping eliminate the virus from the West African countries is viable since it encourages the aspect of dealing with the problem to totality.
