Should the US Leave Iraq or Not Being in the position of Obama, and having to face a dilemma of deciding whether to pull out the US troop from Iraq or not, I would require wisdom and great values that will allow me to make sensible decisions. Some of the value I would uphold include patience that will allow me time to analyses both situations in a fair manner; a mind for the people this will enable me to put lives of innocent people first as I consider other things. The situation that the United States is in is very complicated. The country proceeded to warring Iraq without the consent of the United Nations, and as we are currently the war casualties are more than when the war officially culminated. Tax payers will have a burden of paying taxes which go up as high as $88 billion dollars just because of the war and this amount will elevate if the war carries on The United States is in a tough situation. This country has gone to war without the UNs approval, and now has been more casualties than when the war officially ended. The united states have been in war with Iraq for around two years. However, no positive fruits have been gotten from the war thing are even getting worse each day. About 2000 American troops have lost their lives a very big number of civilian have lost their lives too amounting to 100,000 people. The past one month has claimed more than 1000 lives through suicide attacks alone The situation at hand is very sensitive and critical. If United States does not leave Iraq and withdraw the troops, more people will continue losing their lives and American citizens will lose their faith in the Nation. The war in Iraq will exceed the number of casualties that occur daily if the American government will not withdraw its troops from Iraq. The government takes more than $ 87 billion dollars to finance the reconstruction of Iraq, and with kind of money being taken from the economy, it will be very unlikely for the country to recover from its financial crisis. To make the matters worse, the administrative government is demanding a cut in tax of about $ 400 billion dollars. Taking the whole sum, it adds up to about $500 billion dollars which is being used to finance a worthless war in times of economic breakdown. The initial decision of sending troops to Iraq seemed sensible in the short term contemplation of the administration, and the administration may have perceived that Iraq was hiding weapons of mass destruction. However, in the long run, the effects of taking that step would be disastrous. The administrations line of thought appeared coherent or sane at that particular time; however, the US will be forced to pay in future after the war is long forgotten, since the war was conceived in a wrong motive. The reason given to the American people as the reason to war Iraq was just a conspiracy, it was a lie. While addressing the 2003 state union address, Gorge Bush told the Americans that there was enough evidence that Saddam Hussein was Aiding and helping the Al Qaeda terrorist group. The actual truth was that there were no ties of Iraq with the said Terrorists. Moreover, Cheney the Vice President of United sates stated during a meet the press congregation that they had information that Saddam was planning to acquire nuclear weapons and is in his way to institute big chemical companies to construct nuclear weapons. However, during an international Atomic Energy Agency the vice president e consensus about the US leaving Iraq or not was a sixty dollar question. There are so many negative concerns about the United States being in Iraq, some concealed sources depict that the United States is only interested with the Oil reservoirs present in Iraq. It was for this sole reason that so many innocent people have lost their live and since the Iranians are not ready just to give up their resources just like that, the war is not likely to culminate. The argument that Iraq is connected to the September 11 attack through terrorism seems to be ungrounded. In its quest to eliminate the proposed threat group, attacks on innocent people, and the public has not yet received great success. Contrary to the expectations, this has worsened the situation. Currently a long period has elapsed since the devastation and assassination of Saddam and Iraq is on its way to recovery. Despite the role played by the US military in the democratic evolvement of the country, I do think that their presence in the country at this time is not necessary. Currently, the mass destruction biological weapons are not available to the citizens and they are not in a position to produce them. In addition, due to the presence of the military forces, the political landscape is expected to be democratic by now. Contrary to this, it is not streamlined and the presence riots are expected to increase. Though the military should leave Iraq, I still do believe that it would be unethical to leave the country at such situation. Much destruction has been obtained by the Iraq citizens due to the military attacks. As a result, much has to be done to ensure that the country recovers and develop further politically, socially, and economically. In the achievement of all this, presence of peace and law in Iraq is a Necessity. Due to the role played by the United Nations in past occurrences, it is a preferred choice of military although the troops should not be biased as having many American military personnel may accelerate the attacks from the residents. Despite leaving Iraq and assisting it become a terrorist free, economically and politically stable country being different, they are dependent of each other, and thus much consideration should be taken. Taking an in-depth analysis of the reason for the military attacks, the primary reason has been continuously been changed. This has raised curiosity among various personnel on whether there was a main reason for the invasion or the administration has not revealed it. As a result, the reasons and consequences of the war should be clearly analyzed. America Should Not Leave Iraq. On the other hand there are arguments that the United States should not deploy its army from Iraq Terrorism has increased to its highest point in over a decade. Many believe that a military draft is inevitable. Now you may wonder why I am saying lets stay. Well its simple we went over there promising them freedom and we damn well better give it to them. If we leave the insurgency will slaughters thousands more. They have already vowed to slaughter the Shiites. Furthermore if we leave the Iraqi military will be unable to guard its citizens they are not ready to fight the insurgency alone. We went over there and got these people into this mess and we should help them get out of it. Otherwise what kind of nation are we? Pulling the American troops from Iraq would not be a wise idea. Taking into account the amount of money in Dollars that have been invested in improving and making Iraq better, and a also considering the many lives that have been sacrificed for the entire freedom of the Iranians, it would be like leaving the citizens on a hanging rope with no future. Withdrawing from Iraq would create a bad picture to the whole world about the Americans in such a way that the country would be perceived as non-finishers i.e. we do not finish what we actually start. And that we do not solve problems but we actually make them worse. The US should actually stay in Iraq and finish what they started with an aim of improving the Iraqi Government and assisting the united nation in making Iraq Free State. However, the cost of the warring the Iraq is remarkably high. The American government has invested so much financially to improve the economic conditions of Iraq. Despite the fact that the steps we have taken may seem small, we have high hopes that by the time we are done with Iraq it will be a nation to be admired by assisting her citizens to have a good life and offer them their desired freedom. We should not just move away from Iraq since some notable improvements have been identified. Why should we just quit when there is hope at the end of the tunnel? On the other hand, moving away from Iraq would mean taking all the money and resources we have invested in that country to a drain which is not logical. It is not a good idea just to leave the Iraqis hanging in the verge of a great future. It is better we lead them to the end until we attain our ultimate goals of making Iraq a great nation. As we have noted in the two arguments, there are two parallel opinions concerning the stay of Americans in Iran. One opinion argues that it is untimely and unfair for the troops to be in Iraq. On the other hand the parallel opinion argues that the Americans should finish what they started. Both arguments make sense and it is up to the one on top to decide on the one which is more viable and profitable. Read More
