Running Head: The rise, fall and rebuilding of Aryan Nations The rise, fall and rebuilding of Aryan Nations s Abstract The Aryan Nations are the white raced political believers who are destined to attain a territory free from Jews and hence a territory that consists of only white-skinned people. Their ideology matches to the Nazi’s ideology of clearing Jews from the world. This is the reason that the Aryan Nations are termed as neo-Nazis. The Aryan nations are the believers of Christianity and believe that the Jews are the ones to corrupt their moral beliefs of Christianity. So the Jews should be essentially wiped off from the world and hence a territory belonging to only Aryan nations should be possessed by the Aryan nations. Several ups and down were experienced by this racist, political movement but a series of strategies are now developed by the Aryan nation that would definitely show some fruitful results and Aryan nations will have their own territory one day that would be free from all the Jews. The rise, fall and rebuilding of Aryan Nations The Beginnings Aryan Nation is a racist, political movement that began after the World War II and is associated to the paled white race situated in California. These people are the believers of the core Nazi beliefs and support the preaching and spreading of these core beliefs being practiced by the Nazis. The Aryans basically believed in Christianity and used to practice the teachings and addresses delivered by Wesley Swift (Quarles, 2004). Between the epochs of 1950 to 1960, he used to conduct a radio broadcast in order to deliver his beliefs and teachings for all his believers. By the year 1957, the name of Swift’s church was changed to Church of Jesus Christ-Christian. This name is now in practice and adopted by all the Aryan churches in the current scenario. Soon after Wesley Swift died, late Pastor Richard G. Butler took the charge of this sect of Christian believers and formed the Aryan Nations in the era of 1970’s. Since that time period, the Aryans have been practicing their religious beliefs and tend to spread these beliefs of theirs in the whole world. This sermon is basically meant to ensure that the teachings of identified and true Christianity might be flourished everywhere. A publication was also used and run between the Aryan nations to keep the entire Aryan Nations connected together. Through this activity, a sense of communication existed between the Aryan nations and being up to date according to the current life was quite easy for them. The Aryan Nation was basically for all those white raced human beings who believed in their true identity and meant to live a life in a territory that only belonged to them. This all happened in the continent of North America. The head quarter of the Aryan nation is located in the Northern Idaho in Hayden Lake in an area of about twenty-acre amalgam (Quarles, 1999). This Nation was formed to enable all the white Americans to live their lives embraced with the true essence of freedom and liberalism associated to the true beliefs of Christianity and Nazism in the North American continent. Ideology The Aryan Nations are the aggressive supporters of Anti-Semitism. They are also involved in the establishment of a state that only consists human of white race and none other than them. Initially, the Aryans used to be a group that presented a different identity but with the passage of time, this group turned to a violent stream. This violent group took the shape of an aggressively renowned identity league which supported the white fleshed human race only. The practices and ideologies of this nation resemble the beliefs and principles of the Nazis. In fact the founder of this establishment party, Butler favored and admired Adolf Hitler. The philosophy of Aryan nations was that the Jews are the “sons of darkness” while the Christians are the “sons of light”. Guibernau & Rex (2010) describe a very popular ideology of the Aryan nation states that the Jews are meant to corrupt the culture and race of the Aryans and this is a big problem for the Aryans. So the final solution is not only to designate the Jews to the lowest positions, in fact, destroying them from their roots. This ideology of devastating and finishing the Jews is the basic subject of the Aryan nation. Through this ideology, the Aryan Nations believe that their identity is only able to be introduced to the world if the Jews are out of their belief and out of their world. The ideology of bringing all the Jews to an end then somehow links to the ideology of the Nazis. This is the reason that the Aryan Nations are said to be the neo-Nazi movement. Crimes The Aryan nations used to fulfill their financial needs and requirements through the annual membership dues, by means of donations and other governmental campaigns. But, when they believed that the collected amount was not sufficient for their needs, they started adopting another way of collecting money. This way was the way of crime. Initially street crimes used to be way for the Aryan nations for the sake of collecting money but later these crimes started growing to a bigger scale (Raskin & Hartman, 1988). The bank robberies, thefts at a bigger scale, looting people and torturing the people who could help them financially were the big screen crimes that were adopted as a practice by the Aryan nations. As the time passed by, these crimes were being noticed by the Governmental level and hence the hatred in the hearts of Americans started flourishing as much as it possibly could. Throughout the North American continent it was a belief that this site only belongs to the people believing in the true Identity of Christianity. Along with this, the continent also had the feeling that anyone trespassing to the possession of white skinned people would not be forgiven or forgotten. The Aryan nations also adopted several senses of crimes that would be used to abandon all the Jews from the place of their beliefs. And that no Aryan Nation believer would let it go for the Jewish people to suppress the rights being possessed by the Aryan nation. And this is actually the quality and the motivation of the Aryan Nations that enables them to go for any for crime and extreme action they need to go for in order to protect the sovereignty of their beliefs and ideology. Affiliates/splintered groups of Aryan Nation Two other powerful groups of the time were the disintegrated groups named as neo-Nazi “National Alliance” and “KKK”. During the era of 1980’s, most of the followers of Butler joined these groups to form a secret organization named as “The Order”. This movement was formed to overthrow the US government of the time because the government was not in the support of an Aryan state development in the North-American continent. The Aryan Nation used to fulfill its financial support services from donations and other collection aspects. The Order now needed money and financial support for its survival. For this purpose, the Order engaged in a crime variety. These crime prospects included assassinations, stealing from the banks, fake and mock behaviors with the people and many other things. This all went for a long time period until the death of the founder occurred. Robert J. Mathews was both the founder and the leader of the Order and died due to a shootout in 1984. Many of the members of his organization were also captivated as a consequence and even during this incident. Ever since 1979, Aryan Nation has been involved in the superiority of the prison. Numerous members of the Aryan Nations and the Order serve extended jail verdicts. And this has also been an important agenda of the Aryan Nations. All the patients of the prison are corresponded via the Aryan Nations via letters and monthly or annual periodicals. By the year 1987, a newsletter named as “The Way” had been published by the Aryan Nations (Kaplan, 1997). This newsletter has been very significant in establishing the connections between the Aryan Nations and its followers following the traditions of its earlier members. The Fall In the September of 2000, the Aryan nation suffered from a severe financial crisis. This crisis appeared when a mother and son were awarded almost $6.3 million because they had been followed, beaten and attempted to be shot at by Aryan Nation security guards. Although the mother and the son had stopped their car briefly on a road adjacent to the Aryan Nation compound. This produced a huge blow upon the Aryan Nations. After the decision of the court, the money was essential to be paid back to the victims. So, Butler forcefully sold off his Hayden Lake compound. Not only had the basic core compound of the Aryan Nation to be sent, in fact, Butler had to sell off several of his personal possessions as well. The Aryan Nation headquarters was then shifted to a less significant compound in Pennsylvania. In 2001, in the World Congress, Butler named Ray Redfeairn as the National Director of the Aryan Nation (Gardell, 2003). The latter man possessed a hugely processing mind. He actually knew how to cope up with the tense and a leadless situation. So, he took up the charge and motivated all the Aryan believers about their ideologies. Kane (2009) explains that in 2004, Butler died because of heart failure. For all the years after his death, all the Aryan Nation activities have become quite slow. But the entire Aryan Nation is now destined to make some operational policies that are completely secret and will be made available to the world only when the right time comes for the exposure. Rebuilding Since Aryan nation went through many ups and downs, but it never tend to lose its dignity and the basic objective it had set from its very beginning. Now the Aryan Nation tends to develop strategies that are more realistic with respect to their approach. Although the strategies that are being developed do not appear to be much more idealistic, but they are quite realistic with respect to a nation and its true identity. Although the Aryan nation knows about the particular values and prospects it holds, but the sense of pride or inspiration has never been able to take birth within the Aryans. So in the present scenario, an ideology is being developed by the Aryan nation that might be the one to be developed according to the fulfillment of the world’s requirements as well as according to the implementation of the world’s requirements. So, the goal of the Aryan nation is to attain a region of White Americans which holds a unique and a recognized identity. And the goal has not changed. It would be one day in the North American continent where a region of the Aryan nation’s compound would be located. The self determination still exists in the Aryan nations. And the strategically adopted approach would make it possible in the near future for the Aryan Nations to attain their designated territory. But in order to do so, the entire system should be supporting the Aryans nation. Although a proper and a complete support cannot be demanded, but at least the ones who are offensive about the Aryan nations need to keep their views lower than a particular scale so that their voices might become unheard. Only then an Aryan nation would be able to be developed that would be far closer to reality instead of the idealism. Conclusion The Aryan Nations is a racist political movement that supports the neo-Nazi philosophy and was founded initially by Wesley Swift. Soon after Wesley Swift died, Richard Butler took the charge of the Aryan Nations and decided to run the movement more successfully and effectively. The basic ideology of this neo-Nazi movement is Anti-Semitism. This means that all the Aryan Nations supporters tend to wipe off all the Jews from their way. This is because the Jews are sons of the dark and hence they themselves are the sons of light. This is also because according to the Aryan nation’s belief that these are the Jews that are the reason to create corruption the religion of Christianity. A publication was run and issued either weekly or monthly for keeping all the believers of Aryan Nations together. A newsletter was also issued for all the prison inmates so that they might be able to know what actually is happening in the world outside the jail. This was extremely healthy activity being done by the Aryan nations. Along with all such theme, the basic agenda of Aryan nations is to attain a homeland that is basically and totally meant for the white skinned people and is free of Jews. For this purpose they created a compound which was quite sufficient for their need. But after several problems this compound was shifted to Pennsylvania. After this the strategies are being developed by the Aryan nations. According to the Aryan nations these strategies are more realistic instead of being really idealistic. And just as the right time comes these strategies will be presented and revealed before the world. References Gardell, M., (2003). Gods of the blood: the pagan revival and white separatism.
