Despite the belief that the universal education project will not succeed by 2015, I think more contribution from the United States could help in education thus eradicating poverty.Increased fund contribution by the United States to the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) will see a greater change in education. If America decided to increase its contributions to the GPE, the money would help in developing the education sector in Africa.

The article mentions that the United States categorized second to last in the total donations provided by the 20 member nations of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.However, Americans believe that the state should invest more of its foreign assistance dollars into the universal education forum in order to sustain the lives of disadvantaged people in the world (Evans). Additionally, America has a rich economy, which should enable it to give more funds than it currently provides.

Greater support from the United States would efficiently improve the education sector in many poor countries. The world could lessen the poverty burden by helping children to get an education; therefore, decreasing the amount of foreign funds required to sustain for education. The author describes that increased literacy in poor populations leads to an increase in the country’s GDP by 0.37%.Educated children can provide a better imminent for their families, society or community, and country.

Furthermore, the article describes that and increase in high school enrolment reduces a country’s vulnerability to war by 3% (Evans). Through provision of education, children gain more skills, which help in building careers and initiate entrepreneurship. Some people believe that the universal primary education program cannot be achieved by 2015 due to the current trends in slow and unguaranteed contributions. Many countries intend to have a 100 percent class attendance by 2015. However, recent data shows that in 2011 fifty seven million kids were still out of school.

In addition, people believe that America has retaliated in its foreign donation to education. With its rich economy, the country ranks second to last in the 2013 OECD GPE report (Evans). Although people believe in the inability to achieve the world primary education vision, disadvantaged countries continue to improve in education. The article reveals a progressive increase in the rate of schooling among developing countries. Empirical evidence proves that there is an increase in education, which has promoted the lives of girls and women in the society.

Finally, financial support from UK, Australia and other OECD members will help in boosting education leading to decreased poverty (Evans). A decrease in poverty concurrently eradicates the poverty cycle; therefore, making the project achievable. In conclusion, increased funding from the United States would greatly aid in improving education in disadvantaged countries. Additionally, providing education enables a country to depend on itself helping it to end the poverty cycle.
