The Cambrian exposition occurred during the Cambrian period that began 570 million years ago and ended 510 million years. According to Meyer et al. (2001), the Cambrian exposition occurred within a window of 20 to 40 million years during the Cambrian period. According to BBC, (2015), the Cambrian period began 545 million years ago and ended 495 million years ago. The Cambrian period was characterized by the sudden emergence of living organisms in the sea. Although geologists are lucky to identify some Cambrian fossils, there was no life on the land.
According to Darwin’s theory, the Cambrian exposition is based on the existence of changing environmental conditions that cause genetic modification of genes. The major cause of the Cambrian exposition is believed to be a rapid increase in the oxygen level in the atmosphere. An increase in oxygen level in the atmosphere occurred approximately 2.3 or 3 million years when numerous microorganisms released oxygen to the atmosphere through photosynthesis. The second oxygen increase event occurred approximately one billion years ago and resulted in the development of various complex organisms during the Cambrian period.
The link between the increase in oxygen levels and development of complex organisms is confirmed by various past events. For instance, the oxygen concentration is believed to have increased from 10 % to 21% in the past 425 million years. The event resulted in the evolution of vertebrates thus attaining essential features. Secondly, high oxygen concentration level in the atmosphere resulted in an increase in insect size (Koch & Britton, 2009).
According to Penumaka (2011), the earth was covered by glacier 580 million years ago thus ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

EQ Industrial Services (EQIS) Plant Explosion
...? EQ Industrial Services (EQIS) Plant Explosion and Introduction Reports on 6th October reveal that the EQ Industrial Services plant located at Apex, a suburb of Raleigh in North Carolina, suffered a big chemical explosion attack. The explosion was preceded by fire followed by additional number of explosions that caused air contamination due to the toxic fumes that were emitted from chlorine. This threatened the lives of people residing near the plant, with evacuation of about 17,000 residents. After the accident, a majority of them had to seek medical attention as a result of the contamination. The plant is a handler of a variety of industrial waste, ranging from...

Cambrian Explosion
...?Cambrian Explosion The term Cambrian refers to period in the earth’s history roughly estimated as being between 543 and 490 million years ago. The name Cambrian derives from the discovery of the first fossils from this era by British geologist Adam Sedgwick in a part of Wales called the Cambrian Hills. (Parker, 2003, p. 7) This is an extremely important period in the development of life on earth, because many scientists believe that it begins with a relatively short period of some 5 million years, between 543 and 538 million years ago, which is known as “the Cambrian explosion”. Parker defines it thus: “The...

Fukushima Nuclear Plant Explosion
...?To ….. From………. Re. Memo Fukushima Nuclear Plant Explosion My research on Fukushima Nuclear Plant disaster is conducted in five stages; the immediate reasons behind the disaster, the possibility of any defect or shortcoming in the construction of the plant, the immediate effects of the disaster, and the long-term consequences of the disaster. The immediate reason, or how the earthquake and the tsunami led to the disaster in the nuclear plant is identified and analyzed in the study. For this purpose, the reports of various experts ranging from guardian science correspondent Ian Sample, and the report of crazyengineers.com are analyzed. In addition, the report on the exact construction of the Fukushima nuclear power plant...

Cambrian Explosion
...Evolution Header - Evol. Science is a search for the truth. Science has various mythical elements which ca not be ignored.Even then it has made our lives safer, healthier and productive. Darwin has made several contributions towards the evolution of species. He believed that all organisms are modified descendants of a common ancestor. But according to the Cambrian explosion there is no fossil evidence that the animal phyla branched off from a common ancestor. This is a serious problem to be dealt by the scientists for having faith in science. And there is a dire need to get the public school students acquainted with all the old as well as new emerging facts of evolution. New York State has already gained...

Cleveland East Ohio Gas Explosion
...Cleveland East Ohio gas explosion Executive Summary: The Cleveland East Ohio gas explosion occurred on October 20, 1944, when a natural gas tank exploded. The death toll was estimated at almost 200 with 131 killed and it was the most disastrous fire in Cleveland’s history (www.ohiohistorycentral.org). Apart from the 131 people killed, 225 were injured and 700 left homeless because 79 homes were destroyed (www.waymarking.com). The reason why it is so important however, is because of the long range impact it had on the natural gas industry. Before the disaster occurred, natural gas was stored above the ground in tanks; in fact the tank in Cleveland which exploded contained the equivalent of 90 million...

Fukushima Nuclear Plant Explosion
... All Members Short Memo Assignment 5/21 The Fukushima nuclear plant accident occurred in the aftermath of the March 11, 2011 earthquake in Japan. The 9.0 earthquake was the fourth largest earthquake ever recorded in the history of mankind. Along with the terrible loss of human life and the destruction of hundreds of thousands of homes and buildings the earthquake led to the worst nuclear accident since the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. The Japanese electricity infrastructure depends a lot from the nuclear power program. There are four nuclear plants in Japan including Fukushima which generated nearly 25% of the electricity in Japan. After the earthquake and the subsequent Fukushima accident the nuclear system went offline. This led... All...

Ecology and Diversity of Cambrian Faunas
...Ecology and Diversity of Cambrian Faunas Introduction This laboratory exercise is based on ecology and diversity of Cambrian faunas which gives an insight into the cause and nature of the ‘Cambrian Explosion’. The practical consists of a series of calculations using data from the Burgess Shale fauna that was exceptionally preserved. Marine faunas that are soft-bodied and from the middle and lower Cambrian, exemplified by the British Columbia Burgess Shale, are a major component in understanding the adaptive radiations that are major at the beginning of the Phanerozoic (“Cambrian explosion”) (Conway et al.,1989). It was...

Soviet naval authorities had the concern that the submarine had missed radio check-ins. naval headquarters planned on a search and rescue effort of K-129. The sinking of the Submarine code name K-129 became a debatable issue between American and Soviet diplomatic communities and the naval for many years after 1968. The intelligence and the senior executives of each country do not have trust on the...
