Even if Freud suggests that we give it up, humans tend to be easily dissatisfied with their current levels of civilization and use whichever means necessary to attain the far much better civilization that they desire. Blocking our aggressive and sexual instincts does not make them go away. This is because they are part of our human nature according to Freud. The unconscious will therefore always find a way to project those repressed and hidden instincts into the open and current life situations.

Freud gives a lot of credit to the unconscious stating that it will dictate our feelings and actions.Hegel insists on the concept of reality where what determines itself, rather than depending on its relations to other things for its essential character, is more fully real than what does not. This is to say that a self that is in relation to itself is complete and real since one cannot fully describe themselves in relation to things beyond themselves. The writings in one’s journal will present a different view of the self-if read at a later period in one’s life.

The journal will produce insight helpful to an individual so that they can understand their inhibitions and limits. I tend to think that his is why David was asked to keep a journal of his life by his therapist. As the capitalist bourgeoisie establish markets around the world, a proletarian globalization would ensue where the working class would join forces with a goal to overthrow the ruling class in each nation of the world.
