Comparison of endings of two gospels Both the Gospels provided are based on the power and city of Jesus. However, there are some differences in the gospels. The gospel in Mark asserts that Jesus had authority over death. The basis of this is that after his crucifixion and death, Jesus was raised from death. This gospel, therefore, forms the basis of faith in Christianity. Faith is based on the fact that Jesus died and rose again from death. Faith in this case means that Christians can believe in things that they do not see.

On the other hand, the ending of the Matthew gospel indicates the power and authority that Jesus had over the earth. He gave his disciples instructions to go and make more disciples for the Lord; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that Jesus had commanded them. There is thus a relationship between these two endings based on the events that were happening during this time. After an individual has had faith that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He came to die for our sins; the individual is born again.

This is to say that this person has been made a disciple of Jesus and should thus be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. This, therefore, means that while Jesus died, Christians died with Him and that His death delivered Christians from sin. The expected audience of the first gospel is individuals who are interested in learning about the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ while the expected audience of the second gospel is people interested in learning how to make disciples for Jesus.
