?Personal World View A world view is one’s presuppositions or the way they interpret life in order to come up with decisions. They enable the person to come up with values, rules and regulations that determine his lifestyle in future. This comes in many varieties and this explains why at the end of the day people in the society can never be the same but similar in actions and character. These actions and rules are used by the individuals to make sense out of the questions they have about the world. It also serves as an explanation and interpretation of the daily events of the world and how the explanation is applied to our daily lives (Bengtsson 41). The beliefs that one has about a given situation are the driving force to the world views that he will come up with. It is the beliefs that serve as evidence for the ways in which he interprets reality. Religious world views also cannot be the same as secular world views as they differ in terms of evidence and the point of argument. It is the world view that gives one confidence in everything he does an indication that they are able to judge their actions as being either right or wrong. It therefore gives one confidence and with it they can be able to defend their actions as they have specific rules that they cane respond to incase of an argument or confrontation. The world views are however different when it comes to dealing with different people hence the need to understand the difference that occurs in character among the people. This can therefore be affected by cultural and sexual orientations. The Christian world view focuses its arguments on the teachings of the bible and that God is the whole source of truth. Therefore understanding of God will enable an individual to be able to understand the purpose for the daily events in life. It is through God that we can be able to tell the absolute truth. However personal truth tends to overpower all the truth as it is a great determinant for ones actions in life. Most people regard the Christian world view as being the best for everyone as God is the teller and judge of absolute truth. Secular lives tend to carry with them several consequences including broken families, ineffective Christianity and devastating lives. It is through Christianity that we can be able to get hold of the best world view with which we can grow in our own commitment and truth. We can help others to grow in their own commitment and in telling and having the truth within their souls (Bengtsson 8). This serves as a driving force behind your emotions, actions and the decisions made whether in a group or as an individual. This will in the end affect the way you respond to every situation in your daily life with reference to different topics of interest. The world view acts as the interpretive lenses through which you view and judge the events of the world. With the lenses you can be able to observe a wide range of perspectives or factors that affect the well being of an individual. In order to avoid conflict of interest, we should learn not to let our worldviews appear to be superior to others. My personal world view is that of God being the teacher and life is the school. Being a religious based world view, it therefore implies that life can serve as an institution where we are to try out things and see if they work through learning process. In a case where they do not work, we go ahead to correct them in order to be able to fir into the system. In life as individuals we are exposed to various challenges from all the directions and it is upon us to be aware of how we can work them out. The society has rules and regulations that we have to adhere to whether or not they are in agreement with our personal world views. This is what is commonly experienced in the society as we tend to break most of the laws that have been set up just because they are not in agreement with what we consider v as right. This should also serve as a guiding principle among individuals when staying in the society and they have to be made aware that not all their interest can be satisfied by the society but only a few (Bengtsson 26). What they perceive as right according to their code of conduct in the society maybe very wrong in another societal setting. Therefore, it is advisable that before coming up with a personal wo0rld view, an individual should try to first fit in all the aspects of the society that bring about peaceful understanding. This is attributed to the fact that every institution in the society has its own rules and regulations that have to be adhered to. Religion has played a major role in understanding of my personal world view in the sense that I believe it is God who created the world and is the one who is responsible for ensuring its stability both in resources and provision of life. We have religious leaders who go around preaching the word of God and encouraging a spiritual life among their followers. They see the earth as a sinful place that one has to live with the word of God in him in order to succeed. It is this preaching that convinced me to end up with such a personal worldview. Religious teaching always serves as an encouraging force whenever one is feeling defeated. The world has been reduced to a destination that is no longer habitable unless to those who are ready to undertake the ungodly deeds. World views are part of our daily lives and we are forced to sort them through the daily experiences and this can only be possible through applying spiritual wisdom. People are adopting cultures that are not their own and modifying them to the extent that they become un acceptable within their cultural setting (Bengtsson 12). Culture has been rendered to the mercies of the people interest as the anonymous nature of individuals in the society seems to be on the rise. This has been brought about by the idea of rural urban migration where different cultures merge creating conflict of interest. Crime has been on the increase and it seems to be taking a new form daily. With the changing times, there needs for one to have a revelation that defines his stand in life. Some of the problems encountered in the society are no longer individual but have also extended to the Christianity level. This brings about temptations that can be avoided if an individual has principles that clearly state his interests. With my world view I realized that I was reading on the same page with many people. This was an encouragement as it provided a loop hole through which I could be able to share my thoughts freely without the fear of being discriminated against. This can be understood in different ways and the first one is the perception that God truly exists. He is the one who created the world and the things in it. We are therefore offered the responsibility of ensuring that the world remains the way it is and any changes that are made on it should be positive. They should not be those affecting the well being of others. Sadly, this has not been experienced as there has been the rise of social classes in society which have brought with it a number of evils such as slavery (Bengtsson 78). Moreover, the social classes have resulted in the marginalized groups being oppressed to the extent that they come up with demonstrations in need to defend their rights. God discourages such habits yet it a few characters that fight against it. People have become self centered and all they are interested in is to immerse as much wealth as they can. Poverty and wealthy classes have been clearly indicated and those who are rich tend to go scot free in cases where they commit crimes. It is the poor who pay for their crimes. It is also evident that not all roads lead to destinations as there are those that bring with them the fruits of doom. It is through your personal world view that you can be able to judge and decide on your destination as an individual. Therefore at the end of the day you claim responsibility of what you have done while on earth. Some of these roads are like the influence individuals get that drags them into issues of peer pressure. It serves as a mirror through which you view the road you want to per take in undertaking a given action. You can only achieve success when you decide on roads that are acceptable within the societal standards and those that agree with the rules and regulations that have been set aside. As a Christian you have to exercise faith as it serves as a guide to your world view (Bengtsson 34). It serves as a belief strategy for what we see and feel. As a Christian you have to have faith in the existence of God in order to remain firm in your daily actions. With such a world view you tend to be guided by Godly actions in all that you do and this implies that believing in the maker is a greater principle than anything else. Truth should be the driving force to achieving your objectives since telling lies leaves you with a guilty mind daily. One tends to think much of how he can be able to defend his initial statements in future without being noticed that he was telling lies. With these two in mind, one is free both in his soul and mind.
