Personal ment I am from Saudi Arabia, and I am applying for an MBA Program in I am particularly interested in an MBA program because I would like to have an executive education in running a business. I have set a career goal of finishing an MBA program to be able to manage our family business more efficiently. I have been working as the Assistant Manager of our rental car and transportation business for five years, and I feel a formal training and education would help me in the performance of my day to day duties in the company.
Aside from this, my long term goals are to be able to set up my own transportation rental business in Saudi and be able to strongly compete with those companies already operating in the market. With the guidance of the MBA program of your university, I hope could learn how to manage the business, understand the business environment and learn strategies that are considered important in managing a business. From my personal experience as an assistant manager in our own company and proper education that I will learn from your university, I want to establish also a teaching career in King Saudi University right after graduation.
I have completed an undergraduate course of Business management at University of Colorado Denver, and I believe pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Shenandoah University would help me become successful in business and as an educator. I will not stop with an MBA degree because my long term plan includes a higher degree of learning, and I plan to finish post graduate studies in Human Resources Management. My interest in human resources stemmed from my relations with personnel, clients, suppliers and other personal contacts during my stint as Assistant Manager of the company.
My work requires me to be in constant communication with customers and employees; among of which, is seeing the customer satisfaction from our product offerings, and managing employee contentment in their job. Marketing and selling of used cars to reach its full utilization after long period of rentals are among the difficult tasks assigned to me. There are also times that immigration problems have to be attended to for our foreign employees and seeing that they are secured in their job is not easy.
I am not a mechanic, but in the operation phase, I have to be responsible for the regular maintenance of fleet trucks. Of course, I am not alone in doing this, as I manage and train employees to do this for me. What I do is constant coordination, control management and proper reporting so I remain focus in the business and I am well informed of what is happening in the operations. With proper education thru the MBA program, I feel my skills in human relations could be properly enhanced in a professional level, and I could be an instrument in pursuing this kind of program academically in Saudi.
I believe education is very important in achieving success of an individual, and a ladder approach to education is a strategy that defines what I want to do in my future and identify steps so much needed in a career path. I feel that my global perspective and interests make me a very strong candidate for your program and I look forward to being a part of an academic community of like-minded people who enjoy teamwork and helping others, and at the same time working hard to achieve set goals, and finally, striving to make the world a better place thru better education.
