Needless to say, its natives are wealthy as well because of their unique skills and talents which they seem to be the only ones to have been blessed with, especially when it comes to music. The wealth of South Africa is a mine holding so many hopes for success and prosperity. Being a rich country, it is not surprising to see it rise with other strong nations because of its natural resources. The governance had always had a strong effect on the achievements in this country whether on a small scale or large scale analysis.

As has been shown in the studies, a president could make or break the future of a country. President Jacob Zuma, during his reign, was foreseen to become a dictator who would hold onto the necks of his countrymen which he later proved to be an unfounded suspicion as he saw to it that his government was well managed. One such leader proves that the country is not lacking great human assets and would be able to take responsibility for wise governance of the great natural resources of South Africa.

However, whatever state the country becomes, is not to be fully ascribed to the leader alone but to all the citizens of the nation. As it is, every individual has his/her responsibility to play and help in the achievement of a united nation towards better living. To this day, South Africa is still one of the nations that suffer a lot from diseases especially Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), a disease that is sexually transmitted and deadly. This death sentence is one of the effects on the economic status of the nation.

As most connect the disease to poverty, they hold the perception that because of the basic needs of most South African women which have to be met, they tend to resort to prostitution. It is true that the country is rich in terms of gold and diamonds, leaders, and governance, however, there would always be the threat of not being able to cater to all individuals. With the enormous population of the country, with many races and beliefs, as mentioned earlier, the responsibility can not be fully placed on the leader’s shoulders alone because one’s life will still depend on himself.

The least that the nation could do in such a circumstance would be to look for alternatives for its citizens in bringing themselves through each day’s challenges. Empowering women for decent livelihoods should become a priority because women are usually the abused group suffering from discrimination and diseases. Building a good foundation for the children who would become the next generation of leaders would also be a good thing to consider, investing in their education as this is the modern tool used in fighting poverty.

The race to success now becomes the driving force for committing crimes and the number increases by the minute. It would be cruel to point crime rate increase directly to the desire for success, so to mention a person’s reckless ways of gaining wealth might be a better choice. Thus, it might be a good idea to look into the detouring of the citizen’s strength and vigor in crime for a more productive objective in a legal way.
