It is fundamental to realize at this point that San Diego has been given the nickname of “America’s Finest City”, and there are reasons to believe that this city is one of the best places in the nation to dwell in. significantly, San Diego has been one of the most attractive and serene places in the country, and it is a great location for peaceful living. The beaches in San Diego are beautiful and famous, and the city has several other attractions such as the zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and Balboa Park with all the museums. Similarly, this beautiful city is distinguished for the availability of world-class goods and services, and it is one of the richest and safest cities in the United States. It is important to realize that Forbes magazine has rated San Diego as the fifth-wealthiest city in the United States and the 9th safest city in the top 10 list of safest cities in the nation. (Clemence) The city was also rated in 2006 as the fifth-best place to live in the United States, and there are several favorable conditions for happy and peaceful living in the city, including the weather, the beaches, opportunities for cultural events, availability of world-class goods, and services, etc. Therefore, it is indubitable to claim that San Diego is a great place to live in.
In a reflective analysis of the favorable conditions to live in San Diego, it becomes evident that the city is blessed with comfortable weather, beaches, opportunities for cultural events, etc. The weather of the city, which is comfortable year-round, is the most important reason to claim that it is a great location for happy living. It does not get too hot in the summer in San Diego. The good weather in San Diego is world-famous and, in the words of Mark Hiss, “San Diego is blessed with a mild climate, low humidity, and good air quality. In fact, Pleasant Weather Rankings, published by Consumer Travel, ranked San Diego’s weather number two in the world.” (Hiss, 6) As it is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Southern California, there is a guarantee for a comfortable and cool climate all through the year. It also attracts several people to settle in the region. As Roger A. Arnold claims, “the demand for housing in San Diego is higher because San Diego enjoys good weather.” (Arnold, 104) The beaches in San Diego, just like its weather, are world-famous and beautiful, and San Diego County is blessed with 70 miles of sandy coastline and as many as 30 individual beaches, such as Imperial Beach, Coronado Beach, Ocean Beach, Mission Bay Park, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, etc. These beaches “cater equally to surfers, snorkelers, swimmers, sailors, divers, walkers, volleyballers, and sun-bathers.” (Hiss, 104) Apart from the good weather and famous beaches in San Diego, the city also offers lots of opportunities for cultural events.
