Case Study-Cross Culture Management Most Important Ideas of the Article Innovation is a major tool of entrepreneurship. It is a means by which change is exploited as an opportunity for a varied service or business. Innovation has the ability of being presented as a discipline and it is capable of being learned and practiced (Slideshare, 2009). The case study is related to the concept of innovation and its role in entrepreneurship. From the case study it is evident that much of the confusion exists in relation to the definition of the entrepreneurship.

“The term ‘entrepreneurship’ refers not to an enterprise’s size or age but to a certain kind of activity that provides rise to the term called innovation”. There are various sources of innovation. Those are both internal and external sources of innovation as identified from the case study. The most prominent internal sources of innovation are incongruities, unexpected occurrences, industry and market changes and process needs. The opportunities that are present outside the organization in its social as well as intellectual environment are changes in the perception, new knowledge and demographic changes.

The case study also explains the various principles of the innovation. The purposeful and systematic innovation starts by analyzing the sources of the new opportunities. Innovation requires knowledge, ingenuity and focus. It has been derived from the case study that because of entrepreneurial initiatives have always augmented the practice of innovation. Application of the Concepts Leaders and the managers play a vital role in the cross cultural management. The main problem that has been found in the case study is related to the term innovation.

The companies don’t have the kind of culture that is required by the innovators to be successful when thinking of innovating. The culture has an adverse influence on the management. The organization culture can be defined as the basic belief that is commonly held and learned by the group. This governs the member’s thoughts, feelings, actions and perception. It has been suggested by the researchers that the promotion of an innovation based enabling culture need the support and involvement of the senior leaders.

Fostering failure tolerance is determined to be an important means of promoting an innovation enabling culture. The role of the leader is significant in creating an innovation-based company by supporting the creativity through providing the resources. They help in the new idea based generation by catering individuals with the freedom to try new things and challenging work. If the organization has both entrepreneurial and sharing culture, the individuals and the groups will take initiatives towards innovation (Lin & McDonough, n.d.).

In any business, the importance of the HR is evident in its leadership role in lieu of being the caretaker as well as the champion of the culture. The positive organizational culture is generally linked to the increased staff alignment, superior employees productivity heightened consensus relating to strategic direction and advanced level of employee commitment. The employees’ satisfaction needs to be improved by improving the overall employee relation climate in the organization. The staffs need to be motivated on a continuous basis by the introduction of the recognition programs and opportunities.
