"The Nursing Trends Influencing Curriculum Changes" is an engrossing example of a paper on care.
Nursing is a premium course full of beautiful people. It is an awe-inspiring profession and very rewarding. However, the job is incarcerated by several setbacks including but not limited to: long working hours, stress, and sometimes unfriendly working conditions.

To be a nurse, you must exhibit exceptional qualities such as hard work, sacrifice, and persistence. This paper tries to navigate the trends that will influence the nursing curriculum changes in the next five years. This paper further draws the line between these trends and how they will impact the nursing curriculum.

The current demand for healthcare in pediatrics is the first trend that will be discussed in this paper, lastly, the curriculum enhancement. The paper concludes by offering future solutions to these contemporary issues as a remedy for improving the nursing profession.

Numerous changes over time have characterized the nursing profession due to various forces in our contemporary society. The job has a broad scope encompassing: caring for the sick, children, people living with special needs, and the elderly. It is worthy of acknowledging the crucial role played by nurses all over the world today.

First and for most, is the current demand for healthcare in pediatrics. It is evident that due to the high fertility rate, the population of children below the age of 18 years is increasing. Simultaneously, many of them suffer from various healthcare needs (Child stat, gov forum on child and family statistics, 2018). They found that there has been a rise in chronic illnesses, such as autism and asthma. Besides, their statistics reveal that approximately 26% of children 18 years of age require special attention due to their unique healthcare needs.

The number of obese children is increasing, placing them at risk for illnesses such as diabetes, fatty liver disease, and cholesterol (Witcopp and Convoy, 2016). Besides, there have been frequent cases of suicide among children (Perou et al., 2013). They found that the second cause of death for an individual between the age of 10 to 24 could be attributed to suicide.

Finally, the current number of nurses is not sufficient to cater to the health needs of these children and their families, thus calling for interventions in the future. Not only do the medical practitioners, specifically the nurses need to be completely prepared to cater to the ever-increasing number of patients, but they are required to be the frontline leaders in healthcare (Martha, S, 2018).

Secondly, the curriculum enhancement (Landeen et al., 2016), the nursing curriculum should be modified continuously to ensure there is uniformity in the level of learning considering the rapid changes in the profession. They found that through group discussions, by use of a research methodology, which is descriptive and qualitative, the academic staff can gain insight by the end of the term based on student feedback. The nursing program aims to train nurses to deliver high-quality healthcare while also being able to adapt to the gradual changes in the field of nursing.

Moreover, the nursing profession is distinguished from other jobs by adhering to the standards and exhibiting exceptional skills and competencies ( Qantani, A. et al., 2016). Future research, therefore, aims at taking into consideration designing a curriculum that provides learners with quality and reliable content.

Conclusively, it is worth stressing that nursing is continually changing; therefore, there is a need to adapt to these changes by improving the quality of medical services. The increasing number of healthcare needs among children calls for severe measures in the nursing profession. More importantly, the nursing curriculum should be tailored to cater to the ever-increasing societal needs.
