Historically, the major concepts in nursing knowledge have been predominantly described by four conceptions which are: the environment, nursing, person, and health. Disparately, the aforementioned conceptions have been reflective of beliefs held profoundly by the profession about nursing's content and context. Nevertheless, Schim and his colleagues evaluate the four conceptions of nursing acquaintance and propose for an assessment of the metaparadigm that will embrace the vital concept of social justice. For that reason, Schim and his colleagues have tried to discuss each of the metaparadigm conceptions and suggested that the environment and humans are the foremost nursing metaparadigm conception of interest. For instance, social justice expedites fair access to clean air, prenatal care, and culturally knowledgeable healthcare providers. Similarly, social justice will also cater to health-related burdens such as the cost of disease- or injury-related illness, healthcare, and mortality. It through this that Schim and his contemporaries acknowledge that social justice for proficient nurses will endorse socially-just actions indispensable for improving the health of vulnerable populaces.

In view of that, we can divulge that the notion of Schim and his contemporaries are much correlated to the notion of Andersen and Collins. Since, Andersen and Collins have argued that "see the world differently if we were to shift our vision of society from one that is typically centered in the voices and experiences of dominant groups to the lives and thoughts of those who have to be devalued, marginalized, and excluded?" (Andersen & Hill, 2004). This can be clearly depicted as Andersen and Collins are also advocating for professional nurses who will endorse socially-just actions indispensable at improving the health of susceptible populations.

In conclusion, after evaluating that notion of Schim and his contemporaries of putting social justice front and center in our work have proven to match up to the strategies delineated by Stevens and Hall. As, Stevens and Hall insisted the nurse has to join with susceptible groups and develop the strategies of working collectively to expose repressive situations and take necessary action (Stevens & Hall, 1992). As a result of this, Stevens and Hall advocate for the strategies that will help in curbing insecure physical surroundings, economic insolvency, unjust social arrangements, and political marginalization which are facts that portend the safety and well-being of many people (Stevens & Hall, 1992). And so, the use of critical theories as the conceptual foundation for community health nursing is advocated through social justice that has been highlighted by Schim and his colleagues. Hence, the notion of putting social justice front and center in our work correspond to the strategies outlined by Stevens and Hall.
