"IOM Recommendation for the Future of Nursing" is a decent example of a paper on care.
The globalization effect has been felt in all aspects of society. Competition in business, the job market, and politics among others is high. This is partly due to improved access to information, expanding population, and millennium development goals set by various governments. The emerging trend in job scarcity can be attributed to the demand for competency and efficiency. This means a lower level of academic achievements has a limited guarantee for a place in the job market. Nursing is a profession that combines service delivery and commercial gain together (DeNisco & Barker, 2013, pg.67). Like any other profession gaining higher academic grades in institutions of higher learning is important to boost chances of securing a good job.

The increasing global campaign on quality healthcare puts pressure on nurses to improve on service delivery and efficiency. This has necessitated the need to step up academic performance and practical mastery of nursing concepts. In this regard, attaining a higher level of education like a baccalaureate degree will ensure I have a competitive advantage among nursing colleagues when it comes to recruitment or promotion (Chism, 2013, pg.75). Besides, syllabus changes are inevitable as a society needs a more open and interactive environment with the nurses. In this respect, the stakeholders in the healthcare sector and nursing fraternity recommend the increase in nurses with a baccalaureate degree.

My acquisition of a higher level of education will expand my knowledge horizon and boost my chances of convincing the recruitment team of my potential. Besides, I stand higher chances of expressing myself with fluency and confidence because a higher education level improves communication skills and interactive experience in various social environments.

The unpredictable health care challenges in society call for flexibility among nursing professionals. There is evidence of emerging diseases and the subsequent need for proactive measures to intervene. Besides, nursing in this global era integrates management practices to improve governance (Chism, 2013, pg.58). These objectives are only achievable with sound training and extensive experience to absorb the shock of new developments. In this respect, education level boosts the knowledge depth of nurses and this prepares one to combat emerging incidences and future occurrences. My primary role as a nurse is to provide quality care to the patient through the administration of drugs, observe changes in the patient and record, report to the administration and facilitate linkage between the patient and top management. However, these roles are gradually expanding as time goes.

In contemporary society, there is a call for improved interpersonal interaction skills for nurses and an emphasis on making informed decisions concerning the observed recovery progress of the patients. Besides, the rising integration of technology in the healthcare sector requires further training and acquisition of application skills to improve efficiency in service delivery (DeNisco & Barker, 2013, pg.83). My higher level of education, therefore, prepares me for a more challenging future characterized by the use of ultra-modern equipment while on duty. My ambition of landing a management position as a critical aspect of healthcare provision is pegged on my higher level of education. Basic understanding of the new phenomenon in the healthcare sector requires prior knowledge of emergency management techniques which a higher level of education significantly influences.
