Elaborate literature reviews are given about the multifarious problems facing older patients, which is the main topic of investigation. Colossal literature is available on the topic as such it is not possible to discuss every angle of the related issue within the limitations of 8500 words of this dissertation. The dissertation author does not claim to have read everything that is theoretically available on the topic. The nature of the topic is such that a uniform solution to it in all geographical areas, even different locations in the same geographical area is impossible. Many factors impact the possible solution, as detailed throughout the entire dissertation. This dissertation, I believe, has been a test for me to make an effort to apply the theory into practice. I have tried my level best to make use of the knowledge gained throughout the course syllabus.

The dissertation has been divided into chapters to make the presentation easy to read and comprehend details. The subject-related data is collected through various sources mentioned in the literature review. Mostly, it consists of the secondary data, opinions articulated by other experts on the topic, collected for some other purpose other than the current research topic. The questions and the views of those experts have been examined/commented upon logically. Their reliability and feasibility have been elaborated on in this dissertation in the appropriate chapters while offering my interpretation.

The weakness and contradictions have been highlighted. On every ancillary issue related to the main topic of the dissertation, I have made a reasoned judgment, while giving tangible solutions. My personal views are supported by evidence. The important issue that I have brought into this dissertation is the introduction of spirituality as the most important factor and how it helps older people in their treatment mode. It is not possible to prove this treatment option logically, as spirituality transcends reason, and hence it is beyond the scope of the mind.

Spirituality is the practical experiencing of the divinity within the inner world of an individual and the procedures to attain that state, the tools of science are of no use as things stand today.
