I realized the importance of my specific duty as a nurse when I joined the nursing school. The nursing school taught me not only how to deal with sick patients, but also the hospitality of people in your normal life. It calls for respect, patience, and hard work to be a nurse and to deal with patients. In addition, as a nurse, I have to stay up-to-date with new researches and interventions in the nursing field.

Nursing and administration

 I pledge to own the presence of dignity and keep to my obligation as a responsible nurse. I realize that many lives depend on my actions, and I opt to give better administration of instructions and drugs. I have to dedicate my time to the nursing career since it has been my dream, and now that I got a dream I have to hold with my all hands (Nightingale, 1992).

Nursing practice

Nursing practice is regarded as both a science and an art. The idea of nursing and caring has its backgrounds on good relations, togetherness, understanding, and connection between the professional nurse and the patient. Nursing practice as a science deals with several interventions, treatment, and therapies, which are science-based.

Person

A person should take full responsibility for their health, and in addition, help the nurse in accomplishing nursing or health care service by providing full and accurate information on the changes in his body. This gives a nurse a chance to know the right action to take in every medical case (Seedhouse, 2000).

Health

Health includes several aspects. It both involves the essence of proper mental, physical, and social uprightness and the absence of diseases and infirmity. Health is an important factor valued by all people around the globe since it leads to the wellness of a person, which results in a healthy nation. People become weak and powerless if they become sick. This results in the inability of accomplishing assigned responsibilities.

Environment

The environment has several effects on the health status of individuals. The day to day activities that create a link between human beings and the environment has both adverse and positive effects on the health status of a person. For example, direct exposure to toxic agents results in pollution and the mess up of the life-sustaining eco-units. For instance, the expansion of agriculture, the introduction of industries, and the continued use of carbon-based energy are the core causes of health hazards.

Nursing and nursing practice is one aspect that has great importance to both an individual and the nation. Proper nursing care makes individuals healthy, which in turn makes the nation healthy. It is evident to say that nursing is important since it acts as a supporting factor in life. To support this, nursing involves caring for people and saving lives. Medical care is the right of every single individual in the country. With this in mind, I pledge to give better nursing services to my patients. Additionally, I pledge to keep the professional ethics of nursing right and serve the nation.
