As a professional nurse, I consider leading, managing, and following behavior very critical to patients, family, and my fellow workmates. This is because leading and managing equip a nurse with several advantages such as maintaining balance especially time. This ensures that the nurse operates efficiently without wasting the time of the patient which in most cases is crucial to their survival.

When a leader has effective followers, it means that the followers are able to understand themselves and therefore work with minimal supervision. This results in workers who do not depend on their leader in everything they do. This, therefore, leaves the leader with other important things to do.

With a score of seven in both the people section and the task section, I believe that I am a competent leader who is able to deliver effectively if given the right chance. I am able to lead people into providing the best healthcare solution that a nurse can give. The survey also reveals that I am also able to provide good management in case I am given a task to manage. This survey, therefore, reveals that my leadership ability is excellent.

As a professional nurse, good leadership and management skills are vital to the health of the patients as well as good relations with other workmates. To achieve this, I have to set up clear and relevant goals that will ensure that I perform as required of me. I also have to have a result-driven structure that will help guide me to my set goals. I also have to be competent and be able to effectively interact with other members of the workforce as this is very crucial in ensuring that I attain the desired objectives (Larson, lariats, 1989). Identifying the members of the workforce, understanding him or her, and being able to work with each other after identifying the weakness of each member is very important. This means that I have to ensure that I am unified with other members of staff, as I need them to achieve every goal. Creating an environment that is safe and conducive for the nursing operation is also important in achieving good management and leadership skills. This is because, as a manager or leader, I have to ensure that each member of the workforce is comfortable in wherever place they are working in. settings a higher standard is also important for a good manager and leader. It ensures that they have a good norm for groups and therefore they behave in a way that is expected of them. This will ensure that the other members of the group give you the best respect that a manager and leader need (LeaFasto, Larson, 2001).
