(1)The skin color of a new born depends on races. It is grayish-blue in Caucasians and grayish brown or brown in dark-complexioned races. This color changes with deposition of pigment. (2). They have smooth and tender skin texture. 3. They have reddened areas on the eyelids, mid forehead and the neck due to the capillaries. The birthmarks usually fed with time. 4. A newborn grows soft and fine hair on their shoulder, forehead and the back. These hairs disappear gradually with time. 5. A child is born with a soft, cheesy and yellowish cream on the skin.
