 Eradication of Obesity Details of Obesity Eradication The implementation action plan addresses residents of Chicago about the issue of eradicating obesity. Obesity is emerging issue in this state, especially among the children. The eradication of obesity implementation plan, takes into account improving the state and local capacity support for the physical activity and healthy eating among the people of Chicago developing an intergenerational and a public awareness campaign sensitization on the prevention of obesity through physical activity and healthy eating (Barbour, 2011). Furthermore, the obesity eradication implementation action plan, helps in empowering and mobilizing municipalities and counties to coordinate with neighborhoods and local organizations in helping families to raise healthy children and motivate citizens on improving their diets and increasing their physical activity. Moreover, empowerment and mobilization of public and private schools is done to take simple procedures. This is to help the families in bringing up healthier kids and enlighten more schools on the need of healthy well being. Moreover, the obesity eradication plan, raises wakefulness in the place of work about the issue of obesity and boosts more areas or adds the number of worksites that have favorable surroundings that support wellness, among which there is healthy food choices, physical activity, weight management and location support. In addition, the eradication of obesity implementation plan also entails increasing support for the promotion of healthy eating and physical activity in Chicago health care systems and among health care professionals (Baur, 2011). Finally, implementation action plan entails decreasing the discrepancy of obesity and boosting healthy eating and physical activity among the people with high risk in Chicago like the Hispanics, Afro-Americans, and low socio-economic status persons. Outcomes of Obesity Eradication The proposed obesity eradication plan has many outcomes that occur during its implementation. The first one is that the long-term programs that address physical activity are often successful. The programs that are implemented for more than five months are associated with increased physical activity and the young generation. Moreover, the programs that teach skill building are often associated with enhanced physical activity. While teaching the young people self-controlled physical action, expertise includes training them in ways by which they should integrate physical training into their lives and look for ways of making the physical exercise enjoyable and autonomous. In addition, the physical exercise obesity eradication plans that are designed for the adolescence group were very much effective. Benefits of Obesity Eradication Implementation of the eradication of obesity project has benefits to the patients rather than the hospital. However there are some advantages that the hospital personnel have that affect the hospital indirectly (Hansen & Beaver, 2012). The implementation process helps the managers to perfect their managerial skills in the field. This in turn benefits the hospital because the managers could now handle their work with more efficiency thus benefiting the hospital. Moreover, the obesity eradication implementation action plan helps to break the monotony that nurses might be having in the hospital. In so doing, their brains are refreshed and thus they become rejuvenated and can improve their service afterwards thus benefiting the hospitals. Furthermore, the workers develop team working, because while conducting the obesity eradication exercise, they are able to divide some duties, which through cooperation they are able to perform better. Teamwork is very, much important because much of the workload is easily accomplished rather than individual efforts that are tiresome. Finally, the obesity eradication implementation process may lead to the victims of overweight to visit the hospital for the management of their weight and to seek advice of how to reduce the problem. During this process, the victims of obesity pay some fee for the service. Therefore, the hospital is able to gain some profit. Resources of Obesity Eradication The obesity eradication implementation process requires a lot of resource for it to succeed. First the cost of buying several BMI healthy weight calculators is quite expensive (New, 2015). The machine is used to calculate the ratio of body weight and height of the person. Each of these machines can cost up to $300 and they are needed about ten of them. In addition, the amount required to train the staff is also high. This is because they are required to board such that they can attend evening classes. The training entails on how they are going to handle the obese patients, asking relevant questions and offering the best service. The cost of training nurses amounts to 12 million dollars, while that of transportation of training officers from one institution to another amounts to 6 million dollars. The amount of salary for the nurses totals 60 million. Other miscellaneous activity, accounts for 2 million dollars. Therefore, the total budget for the whole process amounts to 3080 million dollars. To start with, the stakeholders must be engaged. This involves identification of the reason of assessment. The reason of assessing is to manipulate the recognition of the stakeholders for the assessment, timing of the valuation of actions and choice of particular assessment questions. The reason of assessment sets the boundaries in which the assessment can be productive or not. The priorities of purposes can be used to set up the link between planned use and reasons of assessment. Three categorical ways of stating the recognized purpose of the assessment are depicted. These are: rendering judgments, facilitating improvements and knowledge generation. Then the obesity eradication program description clarifies the programs purpose for the capacity to improve health, step development, and completion. Successful realization of assessment actions and use of assessment results depend on common understanding of the obesity eradication program and what the assessment can do or cannot. Stakeholders and the obesity eradication program must agree upon the sense model, the purpose of evaluation, and the stage of development description (Hansen & Beaver, 2012). This sets the avenue for identifying the assessment questions of the obesity eradication program, connecting program planning and assessment and focus on the assessment design. The last measure is about planning for the dissemination and sharing of the information acquired. This involves planning for analyzing results, communication, division of lessons learned, and dissemination of results. Here, planning begins from the first step and the reflection of stakeholder involvement. Use of assessment occurs when assessment is joint and participatory, which begins in the planning phase. In summary, the implementation action plan occurs after the action plan has been formed. It is the actual performance after the approval of the action plan. The implementation plan of obesity has been studied.
