Nursing Care Plans: Interventions and Outcomes - Assignment Example

NURSING As an occupational health nurse, I understand that all the health concerns of my are of equal importance but due to scarcity of .resources. I will be forced to concentrate the available resources to tackle the respiratory problems. This will be advised by my work description which states as a professional health nurse I should specialize in job-related wellness issues. I should observe and assess workers/clients that are related to the task at the job and the hazards that they are exposed to within the job environment.

From the health concerns of my clients, respiratory problems is the one that is directly caused by the operations of my factory, therefore, it will be given the first opportunity (Maurer & Smith, 2009, Pg.59).Level of Prevention means the measures taken in disease prevention rather than the treatment itself. For this health prevention program, I will apply tertiary level of prevention. Since the health problem has already established itself to the population, I will attempt to restore highest function, reduce the severe effects of the problem, and prevent the health related complications.

Because the problem is already established the other levels of prevention will not be effective.The positive implications of my decision are that, when the limited resources available are all driven in one direction. The health concern in question will not most likely be mitigated in a way that is efficient. Another advantage is that the problem of the factory that I work for is that no health officials can come to complain to the company of having any adverse effect on the environment (Lippincott and Wilkins, 2013, pg.57). This is so because that is the only problem that may be caused by our operations, the rest are not directly related to the factory.

By choosing to deal with respiratory concern, it is important since breathing problems can lead to one passing on quickly in a very short period of time and this can bring a lot of legal issues with the society. The negative side of it is that firstly, the clients will feel let down by the factory since all their health concerns can’t be taken care of by the health facility available.By overlooking the other health problems of the clients of the company will be unfortunate for the enterprise since these are the people that it depends on so as to remain in the market and continue to make profits.

When the clients are not up and about, things will not be business as usual for the company. By just isolating one health concern to work on; this is a significant risk to the whole society since these are very serious diseases that require proper attention failure to which may lead to harmful consequences for the clients of the factory.Other information that we need to gather to prioritize health needs is to determine the needs and wants of the priority population, in this case these are the clients.

This will help to determine if the needs of the people are actually being met (Gulanick, 2011, pg.56).
