Mentors Mentors Practicing nurses have been part of my career development in the nursing field. Many of the individuals whom I have worked with have provided me with essential support that has enhanced my growth in the field. Through the support that I have received from them, my knowledge of nursing practices has increased immensely and understanding of professionalism in the field has also become well established. Through the existence of professional relationships, many of the practicing nurses have provided mentorship by becoming guides in various activities that I engage in.

Much of the mentoring has occurred in informal settings, where the nurses only provide guidelines in seeking to ensure that I undertake various nursing activities accurately. They have become an integral part of my career advancementMany of the nurses are experienced and capable of assisting novice individuals with many of their requirements. The knowledge and skills they possess plays a fundamental role in ensuring that they provide the required support (Jill & Bally, 2007). Despite sometimes facing difficulties themselves, they are capable of undergoing extreme conditions, which are also critical in encouraging other nurses (Wilkes, 2006).

The efficiency with which they perform their responsibilities is an element that makes them admirable mentors. Despite the inexplicable mentorship skills they possess, the nurses are sometimes affected by some numerous issues, which make them naïve and susceptible to external pressure.
