Health History and Discharge Orders (Alterations in Pulmonary and Kidney Function) Sallie Mae Fisher is an elderly lady who is in that stage of life where elderly people are prone to lifestyle diseases since the immune system and the body tends to be weak. Sallie has health issues with her heart and kidney, as well as her lungs. However, After leaving hospital and getting appropriate medication she still doesn’t feel well. This is caused by the following problemsLack of OxygenSallie needs extra oxygen in the house.

Though the hospital has offered to give it to her at her house for free she still believes that there is some hidden agenda to it. Worse still, she thinks that she doesn’t need it. This has caused her health to decline significantly as evidence by her steep loss of weight within a short time.Lack of Appropriate Medication Though Sallie has most of the medicine she is required to take. The visit revealed that she was missing crucial medicine which she only got some time back. As this medicine was also crucial for her recovery, the absence of it could show why her state of health was deteriorating over time.

Lack of a Nurse at HomeSallie lacks somebody to take care of her at home. To ensure she eats well and takes her medication as and when it is to be taken. Her daughter works long hours so is unable to do this. This problem is evidenced by her missing some important medication that she ought to have had from the beginning.Loneliness and StressSallie is lonely in her house where she lives alone, her daughter, Thelma Jean is a full-time employee in town and rarely visits. She also misses her late husband who she describes as a jolly man who used to love and make her laugh.
